We made it back home around 1am. Aimee and I sat on my bed and prepared for the first week. I was hurriedly typing a psychology paper and she was painting her nails black. "Mom's back on Tuesday?" Aimee asked with a yawn.

"Yeah."

"Does she know about all this?"

"Not yet." I answered truthfully, "but hopefully by the time she gets back it will be too late to do anything about it." My phone beeped. It was Kristy.

You awake?

I hurriedly replied.

Yes barely, trying to crank out this psy paper, why?

Suddenly my FaceTime rang. I pushed Aimee off the bed earning a squeak. "Shut up!" I hissed earning a low growl back from her, but she quietly arranged herself on the carpet and continued painting away. "Hey girl." I said, answering the call.

"Hey." Kristy's eyes were watery and her voice cracked slightly.

"What's going on? What's wrong?" I asked, perking up.

"I just really need my best friend right now." She started bawling.

"Excuse me-" Aimee started but I cut her off.

"Tell me what happened?" I repeated.

"It's James. He-he told me he wasn't interested, he was just really drunk and-" kris choked on her tears. "He said when he gets drunk he would fuck anything that moves."

"Oh my god." Aimee and I stared at each other in wild disbelief. "Kris, what a fucking asshole! You know you are so much better than that! It's James, he's just being a piece of shit." I tried to console her. She just nodded, loudly gasping for air.

"I feel so dumb! I didn't even have enough time to develop feelings for him before he ruined it!" Her comment elicits a small laugh from me, making her smile. "Yet somehow, just talking to you I already feel better."

"It always helps to vent, that's certain." I said.

"I should let you go, that psych paper won't finish itself." She said, I heard her begin to run a shower in the background.

"Girls lunch tomorrow?" I asked. "We can camp out on the field and talk shit."

"Sounds ideal." She replied. "I'm so glad you moved here, I needed a friend like you." Kristy's comment warms my heart, but I don't miss the pang of jealousy in Aimee's eyes.

"I'll see you tomorrow, get some sleep." I said, hanging up the phone.

"God, anyone would think the world was ending." Aimee said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at her.

"You'll forever be my number on Aims." She smiled and tackled me back onto the bed.

"Don't ever forget it!" She yelped, climbing off of me and onto the bed Andrew had set up for her. "Finish your paper so we can crash. I'm so excited for my first day tomorrow." She said, slipping under the covers. "Night B." She said. It was weird, hearing her call me B after all the new names I had picked up at Dayton, it felt like a home I was trying to forget.

Andrew and I flew around the kitchen, prepping breakfast grabbing lunches, it was a miracle we were able to leave the house on time. Aimee held on for dear life as Drew raced us to school. "I don't know how mom does this." He practically screamed as he pulled up to the curb with a mere five minutes to spare. Aimee and I rolled out of the car and sprinted inside while he found a place to park. "Bella!" I heard Luke say from down the hall. I stopped and turned, rushing to him, Aimee followed suit. "Are you alright?" He asked, wrapping me in his warm embrace.
