*Teagan*

We decided to take the elevator to the lobby due to Kevin's many complaints about the stairs and the fact that we had to carry three large bags filled with about everything I owned.

Aleks placed my bag on the floor and pushed the 'down' button.

Kevin and him started discussing how the AK Locos gained access to my apartment. They spoke about the secretary and how she just gave that man keys to my apartment without doing anything more than asking questions.

Then it hit me. Clearly the man that got keys from the secretary wasn't my grandpa, but instead a member of the AKs. But what about the lady herself?

"Guys, that lady at the front desk... Do you think she was also working with the AKs?"

They look at eachother before simultaneously nodding.

Just then the elevator arrived and we stepped in. I leaned on the opposite wall to where they were stood. "I have no doubt she was working for them. Which means as soon as we reach the lobby bow your head and don't look at anyone" Aleks ordered.

"We'll have to go straight to the front doors without any stops. She's more than likely told the rest of the gang that you're here" Kevin stated.

Once again, I didn't understand what made me so important that The Creatures would want to protect me.

The elevator was completely silent except for the soft classical music playing through the speaker on the ceiling.

A small creaking noise made me snap my head towards the boys. "What was that?" I asked, praying that the elevator wouldn't break down like in those cliche books I sometimes read. "Sorry" Kevin sheepishly said. I stared at him until I realized what he meant. "What the fuck, Kevin?" Aleks said while he covered his nose with his shirt and came to stand beside me instead of Kevin. I burst out into laughter as I also covered my nose.

While Aleks and I stood as far from him as the elevator walls would allow, he was practically dying of laughter so when the soft 'ding' sounded and the doors opened, we stumbled out like we hadn't breathed fresh air for a year.

I immediately took out my phone and pretended I was texting someone which wasn't difficult since I do it every time someone tried to make conversation with me. Kevin had the same idea. Aleks, however, either didn't have his phone on him or he just thought he was too cool to act like he was texting someone.

We eventually reached the front doors after receiving quite a lot of strange looks along the way. I raised my head and stuffed my phone back into my jean pocket, but not before briefly getting a glimpse of what I looked like in the reflection. My hair was now in the messiest and frizziest braid I've ever seen so I pulled the elastic out of my hair. Somehow my makeup was still intact. No wonder people looked at the three of us like we were freaks.

Aleks led the way to the car while Kevin and I chatted. "So much has happened today" I state, trying to run a hand through my hair. He nodded and replied, "You think this is a lot?" I stared open-mouthed at him, "It gets worse?" He let out a chuckle before shaking his head. "The worst part is probably the gang wars. But those don't happen too often."

Memories of the night at Seven Eleven flooded my head.

Get up and follow us

Why'd you bring her?

Jordan might want to question her about what she saw.

The thoughts left my brain when Aleks waved a hand in front of me.

"What?" I asked, swatting his hand away. "Where does your sister live?"

By this point we'd reached the cars and stuffed my bags into my car's back seat. Aleks either didn't notice or didn't care that he was in the driver's seat of my car.

"With my grandparents."

He rolled his eyes, "Where do they live?"

"On Alabama Aven-" the words became muffled by a hand being placed over my mouth. Aleks was staring at something - rather someone- in the rear-view mirror.

I turned around in my seat to see what caught his attention. There was a group of men-all wearing leather jackets- leaned up against the complex wall and staring at our cars with smirks on their faces. When one of the men began walking towards a beat up van I hadn't noticed before, Aleks stepped on the gas and flew out of the parking lot with Kevin trailing behind.

"Change of plans. You're gonna have to wait to see your sister" he said gruffly. Clearly taking advantage of driving a Ferrari, he pushed down the gas pedal even more.

I held on to the dashboard as he took sharp turns and sped through alleyways. When we finally came to a stop in front of the large metal gates that led to the Creature house I turned to him and breathlessly asked, "what the hell was that?"

"The AKs. That receptionist must have been with them or something," He ran a hand through his messy hair "Kevin should be here soon. Hopefully that piece of crap car didn't break down on him" He gave a small laugh.

"Well what if they followed us?"

He shook his head and smiled, "nah, this thing could outrun that shitty car they had any day" and patted the steering wheel.

Soon Kevin rolled up beside us and spoke into a microphone attached to the gate. He must have said some type of code that opened the gate. Aleks slowly drove into the driveway and made his way to the front of the mansion.

I hopped out and opened up the back door to get my bags.

"Nope" Aleks said, lightly pushing me out of the way. And pulling the bags out.

I crossed my arms and raised my brows. "How are you going to carry all three of those?"

He turned to look at me "You calling me weak?"

I shrugged, "maybe I am, maybe I'm not."

He huffed and pushed a bag towards me. As I walked past him to head inside I whispered, "weakling" and smirked.
