YOU'VE GOT DADDY ISSUES

She thought that she was being quiet when she carefully shut the door behind her, but he heard her. He walked down the stairs and she knew that he'd been awake, waiting for her to get home.

"It's two AM" He told her, like it wasn't obvious that it was that late -or early- to her.

"I know dad, I-I'm sorry I-"

"I never said that I wanted to hear your made-up excuses" He snapped at her.

"I'm so sorry-"

"Stop with those whiny apologies, I don't want to hear those eighter"

She nodded her head hesitantly.

"You know that I'm kind to you?" He said, and she whispered 'yes dad', scared that he would get angry. "I am gentle with you, and I am a good parent. There is people that've got it worse than you. I give you food, a roof above your head, a own room even! And you're still whiny, you're such a disrespectful young lady"

She didn't know what to answer, they had been over this conversation so many times, he always said the same things, and she knew what would come next.

He raised his haind while he continued talking with a calm voice that slowly made her even more terrified. "I've been worried for you, did you mean to worry me like that? Did you worry me on purpose?"

"O-of course not-"

"Then why did you sneak out?!"

"I-I-"

His patience with her was dead and buriedShe thought that she was being quiet when she carefully shut the door behind her, but he heard her. He walked down the stairs and she knew that he'd been awake, waiting for her to get home.

by that point. He slapped the back of his hand over her cheek, close to the corner of her eye, and she sank down to the floor, hands pressed to her bruised face.

"It's for your own good" He told her. "Now get some sleep, and cover that up tomorrow, okay"

She nodded, shaking. "Yes dad"

He got up the stair again, leaving her in a sobbing mess at the floor.
