WHERE DID MY DADDY GO?
”Hi… Dad” He whispered. ”I’m sorry if I’m bothering you, but I just wanted you to know that I’m leaving soon, so this could be the last time I’m talking to you”
The stone in front of him didn’t answer -he didn’t expect it to either- but he kept talking. ”I’m sorry that I haven’t visited you as often as I should, I hope you’re not upset about it” He sat down on the ground, starting to pick at the weeds that were growing at his father's stone. ”I-I guess I was the one who was upset, I was angry”
The wind played with his hair, making him shiver.
”I know now that it wasn’t your fault, you were sick, and if you was okay, I know that you… That you wouldn’t had done those things to me. I forgive you”
He couldn't help the tears that now was escaping his eyelids.
”I love you dad, but i have to leave, ’cause… ’Cause I guess I l-love her too…”
He had ever said those words before. ”I love her” He repeated, almost choked by the fact that it was true. He really did love her, she was his best friend, his sister, he would never leave him.
He took a deep breath. ”I should let you go now. Goodbye, daddy, I love you”.
He stood up and left. His chest didn’t feel lighter, it felt heavy, but he knew that he had to take farewell to his dad, he had been dead in three full years after all.
The seventeen-year old took a last look at his father' grave before he left.
