IT'S CRAZY WHAT YOU DO FOA FRIEND

For the first time in years, the fifteen-year old was nervous to meet the older boy, scared even.

She was going to ask him something. Something big. Maybe life changing, and she was afraid that he would think that she was being hilarious and find the question amusing.

She only had to wait in the park for about ten minutes -ten minutes of anxious sitting on the edge of a bench and biting her nails- before he showed up.

"Hey" He greeted, sitting down behind her.

"Hi" Her answer was short, and her voice slightly shaking in fear.

"I know that you've got somethin' on your mind" He said, knowing her better than she sometimes knew herself. "So, what's up?"

She shrugged, didn't want to tell him straight away.

"Come on" He nagged in a playful tone, dragging out the last word, sounding almost like a child. That was rare coming from him, he always sounded sad, nearly broken when he talked. Like he had grown up too fast.

"Would you..." She started, sending him a doubtful gaze. "Would you run away with me?"

He got caught off guard, not expecting the question at all. It took a moment for him to really wrap his head around what the girl just said before he took a deep breath, looking her dead in the eye.

"If that's what would make you happy, I'd do it. For you" He added.

She met him in a tight hug, inhaling his scent like he was her oxygen.

"I..." She couldn't find a word to describe him.

"You don't have to say anything" He whispered to her hair. "I understand"
