Chapter 22- Toxic

I wheeled my suitcase along the airport floor along with Emily and Tom. Emily stood in-between us both so we didn't look to couple-ish even though there was hardly any paps at the airport. I was asked for the odd photo and signature here and there but nothing crazy. We had a late flight after a days work on set, we were heading back to Atlanta to film the rest of the film and I was very excited to get back to Ellie and Haz. We have been so busy I haven't spoken to her much, we sent the odd text occasionally. 

We got seated at a table and we order some food for dinner before going on the plane. We sat and chatted about Atantla since Emily hasn't been yet. "I'm gonna miss New York!" I wine. "Aw me too." Tom says placing a small kiss on my cheek. I got into such a routine, wake up morning coffee or tea with Tom in the car to set. Hanging out in times square and going to cool restaurants. Doing some sightseeing on our days off and our first date, our first kiss. It was all in New York, I think its become one of my favourite places (after London of course). 

"Will we all fit in the house?" I ask Tom. "yeah of course." he laughs. "but theres 3 rooms? where would Em and-" "Sammie think about it..?" Emily laughs. "Ohhh." I shake my head at my stupidness, me and Tom would be sharing a room. I still couldn't get my head round that we're together sometimes. 

"Flight 429 to Atlanta is boarding." The voice echoed through the airport. We got up from our seats and headed for our gate. Marvel sent us home in Premium Economy which I still find odd, I always feel so privileged, I don't think I'll ever get used to it. We sat in a three, Tom on the isle and me in the middle and Emily on the other side. The lights dimmed and we all chose a film to watch. I wrapped myself in the airplane blanket and placed the small soft pillow behind my head. I began watching 'Life as We Know It' one of my favourite films. I felt my eyes begin to drift away as my earphones fell out my ears. I see Tom pause and turn off my film as my head falls onto his shoulder going to sleep. Emily head made her way on to my shoulder too. We must've looked so cute! 

The lights of the plane went up as we began preparing for landing. "are we there already?" Emily asked. "Yep." I rubbed my eyes trying to wake up. "Haz is gonna pick us up, I call him once we land." I nodded at Tom, he wrapped his arm around me as I still felt tired. 

Once we landed we got into Harrison's rental car, me and Tom got in the front with Harrison as they caught up whereas me and Emily started falling asleep again. "Come on girls we're here." I looked up to see the ever so familiar house. The house where me and Tom gave each other client treatment because we were jealous of Niall and Zendaya. The house where me and Tom flirted and made pancakes and tea. But now things are different, a good different. Tom holds my hand passing me my suitcase. I walked past my old room, my things still scattered around in there, the lights were off, Ellie is probably in there sleeping. "goodnight everyone." Tom whispered, "Night." "Goodnight, thanks Harrison for picking us up." "Thats okay." he smiled. 

I walked into Toms room , our room. I smiled at him and got changed into my pjs. We did our nightly routine and went to bed. It felt so right falling asleep next to him as it always does. "This feels so right." Tom blurts out almost reading my thoughts. "It does doesn't it." I smile wide moving my body closer to his. He begins to stoke my hair which immediately sends me off to sleep.

I roll over to see Tom asleep looking so peaceful and innocent. I gave him a small kiss on the lips signalling I was awake. He smiled a little and found my hand to hold, his thumb stroking my hand slowly. "Morning sleepyhead." I whisper. He makes a small noise, it wasn't words, it wasn't a 'why have you woke me up' groan it was just a noise. I giggle quietly nesting my body closer to his. I leave a small kiss on the tip of his nose, "I love you." He mumbles. My eyes widen, what did he say? "what did you say?" I whisper. "I love you." He says a little clearer. I kiss his lips as he kissed back a little this time. "I love you too Tom." A smile appears on his face and he pulls me closer into his body. 

Around half an hour later I could hear chatter downstairs and my tummy begin to rumble. "Shall we go get some breakfast?" I suggest. "Mmm or we could just cuddle here all day?" Tom smiles tightening his grip. "But I'm hungry!" I wine pouting my lip. "Oh I cant say no to that face, okay fine. I want a cup of tea anyway." We hop out of bed to see Emily and Harrison eating breakfast. "Morning!" they greet me back. We chatted for a bit then I couldn't help but wonder where Ellie was. "Where Ellie?" I ask. Harrison's head goes down and he shrugs his shoulders. He should know, he's been here with her all this time. "Is she here?" I ask. We all look at Haz for an answer. "She left around 3 days ago, she and James her boyfriend were having trouble so she went home. Spending time apart didn't seem to bring them closer. She cried a lot and I comforted her." I knew her and James aren't at their best stage, he wasn't happy with her taking the job with being my make up artist. He wanted her to be home for him but that shouldn't stop her from doing her dream, He also had phases of ignoring her and not being a good boyfriend. I expected them to end soon. "Oh I didn't know it was that bad." I sigh. Has just nodded looking a little upset. 

"Ellie?" 

"Hey Sammie, whats up?" She sounds croaky down the phone as if she's been crying. 

"Why didn't you tell me you were having issues with James? I didn't know you left?" 

"Sammie you were busy, I didn't wanna keep explaining the situation and I couldn't stay in Atlanta." 

"Why?" 

"Because I couldn't and I dunno" She sounds upset and confused. Did something happen between her and Haz.

"Harrison seemed pretty upset that you left." 

"Does he? I didn't want to leave in alone in a foreign country but I had to go back." she has empathy in her voice. 

"Is everything okay?" 

"I don't know, James was acting up when I was away, he hated how I left early-"

"that was my fault, I wanted you here early when you didn't need to be." 

"No Sammie I wanted to and thats not the point he would've been angry if I left anyway." she sighs.

"I hope you work this out." I lied I wanted them to break up so she could get out of this heartbreak.

"Me too but right now it seems its too difficult." 

"Okay, please call me or text me. Even of you're crying down the phone, I want to be there for you." 

"I know Sammie and I appreciate  it. I love you sammie!" she says a little happier. 

"I love you too Ells!"

"say sorry to Haz for me, I feel bad." 

"I will bye."

I hang up the phone and walk downstairs, "Harrison, Ellie says sorry for ditching you in Atlanta." "Where you just on the phone to her?" He shoots up looking worried. "yeah." "what did she say?" I shrug, "not a lot, she's pretty upset still. I hate her being like this." "yeah her and James have been toxic for a while." Emily added. "Why doesn't she just dump him?" Tom asks. "Dunno, she isn't one to give up on things, she likes to make it work." I try to explain not really knowing. "Well tell her she's forgiven and I hope she's okay." Harrison says as he smiles at me. What was going on with him, did something happen whilst we were in New York?

oooooo are Haz and Ellie having a fling??? Who knows? Anyway I would ship it! 

also heres another long chapter for you and TOM said he loves sammie!! so cute omg i ship TAMMIE!! yaaay!
