Chapter 16- The one that got away

It had been a week since Zendaya threatened me, Tom has barley spoken to me (apart from on set), Haz has arrived finally and even he thinks it weird. It was Saturday we all had the day off and decided to chill out by the pool as it was warm. I laid on a sunbed in my playsuit with my bikini underneath  reading the script as I haven't finished it yet, some of the scenes didn't make much sense but they always leave out parts they aren't sure of. Ellie and Haz were in the pool chatting, Tom was in the kitchen and Zendaya was with him of course. 

Ellie splashed some water towards me, "Sammie get in!" She begged. I rolled my eyes and ran the script to my room. I caught myself in the mirror and realised I would be in a bikini in front of everyone. I have never really liked my body but now I was in the same house as Zendaya who is flawless and Ellie who is a toned goddess. I shook my head at myself for being so judgemental, I made my way to the pool. Everyone was there, "You getting in now?" Ellie smiled! "Okay if you insist." I pulled my playsuit down revealing my bikini body. I ran over to the pool and cannon balled in making a splash. As I got up from the water I saw Tom staring in my direction, Zendaya was on her phone so she didn't notice. "Coming in Tommy?" Has asked. Tom smiled back taking off his shirt revealing his 6 pack and jumped in next to me. 

"This is the best part about working in Atlanta! Don't you think Sammie?" I nodded, "yep I could get used to this!" I smiled at him. Tom splashed me with some water, I splashed him back laughing at his playfulness. "What do you miss most about the UK Sammie?" Tom asked. "I miss....umm, well apart from family and that, a good old pub!" Tom nodded agreeing with me. "Yes I agree, Haz what about you?" "Maybe football and British TV?" "Ellie?" I asked. "Walking down the street and seeing neighbours, hanging out in parks and British food." I glanced over to Zendaya who was just sat alone tapping away at her phone looking rather moody. "I miss Tessa obviously but I do miss pubs a lot! I gotta give it to Sammie!" Tom put his arm around me and smiled. Ellie looked at me almost saying 'what is he doing?' 

A few hours went by and we had some lunch and then we were just sat round the pool catching the last few rays of sun. We had the radio on as I got a text from Claire saying my new single 'Teenage Dream' was being released. We sat chatting drinking our drinks and I waited to hear my favourite song I think I've wrote so far. "Okay music lovers I have something special for you..." "sammie this could be it!" Ellie screamed, she turned it up! "I have the new single of the very talented Samantha Jones!" I grinned hard, "This song is called 'Teenage Dream' and boy do I already love it! If this isn't your summer romance song I don't know what will be?" Ellie grabbed my hand in excitement squeezing it hard. "Here it is folks, "Teenage Dream' by Samantha Jones.." the song began to play and Ellie cranked up the sound!  She stood up and began dancing, "lets go all the way tonight no regrets, just LOVE!" She yelled grabbing my hand pulling me up! "You and I , will be young forever!!" We shouted. We began dancing round the pool Harrison and Tom laughing. As the chorus ended we gestured for Tom and Haz to join us. "C'mon boys you know yay wanna!?" Ellie grinned cheekily. They stood up as well as Zendaya and began dancing. The song sounded great and I was so happy! 

Has gave me a hug congratulating me on the song, Ellie did the same, Zendaya smiled at me and gave me an award pat on the back and Tom, he embraced me a huge bear hug and whispered into my ear "Congrats, I am so proud of you." I almost welled up in tears that we weren't together and he still gave me butterflies in my stomach. 

I heard my phone ring and I ran over to it, 

"Niall!" 

"Sammie, I just heard your song on the radio!" 

"haha me too! I'm so happy!"

"Sam it sounds great and I have been working on something for our song, I can't wait to meet in New York and work with you!" 

"Niall that sounds awesome! I will see you then my Irish muffin." I don't know why I called him that it just came out and a small part of me wanted to make Tom notice me and be a little jealous again. 

The call ended and I rejoined the group, we had some dinner and decided to watch a film. After hearing my song I realised that I need to really get my head down and finish my album. I haven't been focusing on it as much as I should've. 

I sat down outside with the guitar and began to finish some of the song I started the other day. It got late and I was still outside singing away playing my gutair hoping the song would write itself. "In another life, I would be your girl, we'd keep all our promises the Us against the world..." "sound good." Tom said making me jump. "Don't creep up on me like that." He laughed taking a seat next to me. "The one that got away." He read one of the lyrics from the book. I began to turn red hoping he wouldn't ask what the songs about. "Can I hear it?" "There isn't much to hear right now." "surely there must be, please?" He looked at me with those big brown eyes. I gave in. "okay this is all I've got so far...

I wanted him to stop talking as it was just making me like him even more. "Thank you Tom", I smile at him. "You have gotta wrap this up though and get some sleep, we have a busy week not to mention we are going to New York soon to film." "I know, I'll be up in a second." Part of me was quite excited for New York, we were finally going be alone, I think. We were going to film some parts of the film that they couldn't make a set for, for example there was scene is central park they want to film so we will be spending two weeks tops in NYC.

 As I gathered my things I could hear faint shouting, it sounded like Tom and Zendaya. Harrison was crashed out on the sofa I didn't want to wake him and he looked quite peaceful. I walked past Toms room quietly and I can still hear the faint arguing. I get myself ready for bed, Ellie walks into my room and doesn't look happy. "Samantha, what is that noise?" "Its Tom and Z, shhh!" "Well Tom and Z need to shut it because I want to sleep!" She looked at me with anger and stormed out her room heading for Tom's. I run after her trying to stop her from interfering. "Ellie , Stop!" "Sammie, They need to stop!" She knocks very loudly on Toms door. I smack my head knowing Ellie is just frustrated because they woke her. "Can I help you?" Zendaya asks. "Yeah you can try to keep it down because some us have to sleep." "What?" "Z Ellie is right." Zendaya looks at Tom with anger. "Okay maybe we should all go to bed?" I suggest, "Stay out of it." Zendya snaps back. "No one talks to my friend like that!" "Ellie stop, its not worth it." "Zendaya what are you doing, they're my friends." "Ellie might be your friend Tom but Sammie is just a girl who has misled her way in, stolen my part in the film and you!" Me and Ellie freeze and look at each other. "Zendaya maybe you should go home?" Tom said quietly. Without saying a word Zendaya leaves, Ellie pushes me into my room. "Sammie she's props screwed up your chances with Tom." "It doesn't matter Tom would never go for me anyway." I said sadly. I went to bed.
