Everything Is Not What it Seems

Chapter 39

~ Sophia POV ~
It's been a few weeks sense I came back to town. Its now New Years Eve and we're going to be spending it with out the new neighbors and Molly.

I was getting changed into my new purple shirt and skinny jeans with my Supras when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!!" my mom yelled. I continued to get dressed then headed down stairs. When I got to the kitchen there stood our new neighbors. There was a man and women talking to my parents but there was no sign of my brothers. I thought my mom said the neighbors had a kid? I walked over to the basement stairs and I heard talking and laughter. When I got to the bottom of the stairs there sat my brother playing Black Ops with a guy around his age. Max jumped off the couch and ran to me when he looked my way.

"Sophy!" he squealed. I picked him up and sat down on the opposite couch with Max on my lap.

"This is Jeydon, he's our new neighbor. They moved from Canada." Danny said without looking away from the game.

"Hey!" Jeydon said as he did a little wave then went back to the game. "Hi!" I said back. Jeydon had shaggy hair that hung right above his eyes.

Max and me watched them play until Molly came down after she got here telling us it was time to eat.

After eating we all went back to the basement and we played a game of boys against girls. The girls OBVIOUSLY won. Haha SUCKERS :)....

"Hey, Molly and me are going to go get desert do you guys want ice cream?" Danny asked as he grabbed Molly's hand as they stood up.

"Yes please!" Jeydon and me said at the same time. We looked at each other and started laughing. After they went upstairs Jeydon turned to me.

"So how are you liking the town?" I asked trying to make conversation. "It's good. I thought we were going to have elderly as our neighbors. But luckily we didn't this time." he said smiling. I smiled back. Jeydon's a nice kid I can already tell you that and I've only known him for a few hours.

"Yeah I thought we were going to a loser neighbors when Danny said we had new neighbors but we don't." I chuckled.

"So how old are you again?" he asked. "I'm 15 going on 16 in February. How old are you?" I asked. "I turned 16 this past October." he said smiling.

Jeydon pulled out his phone then soon his smile disappeared. "What's wrong?" I asked.

He looked up at me, "My phone is having problems." he said trying to stay sad. "Do you know what's wrong with it?" I asked scooting over to see his phone better.

He looked down at his phone, "It does have your number." he said smiling. I started giggling. I've never heard someone ask for a number that way but it was a good one.

"Here let me help you with that then." I said smiling back. He handed me his phone and I put my number in as 'Sophia♡'. Over the years I've taken all my friends phones and added a heart at the end of my name.

"Now does it work better?" I handed him back his phone. "Yeah, it works a lot better!" he smiled as he typed something. A few seconds later my phone started vibrating in my pocket. I opened it up to see a text.

I smiled and texted back a smiley then added him to my contacts as 'Jey'. I looked at the time and it is 11:40.

"There's 20 more minutes til we begin a New Year!" I said smiling. I always liked New Years just because of the ball drop and the celebrating.

"Yeah it is.... Now there's 19 minutes left." he said smiling. I switched the game over to the tv so we could watch the rest of the celebration in New York. Danny and Molly came down a few minutes later with our ice cream.

When it was 11:57 we all watched the countdown on Molly's phone. I wonder what Jason and Beck were doing right now? Wait why did I just think that? I shouldn't be worrying about them anymore they're no longer in my life.

"Holy buckets 60 seconds left!" Molly squealed as she looked at Danny. This is one reason why me and her are like sisters. We both get excited for about the same things like celebrities, holidays and a bunch of other stuff.

"5..4...3....2...1.." we all started chanting the count down. Right when it hit zero Danny leaned over and kissed Molly. Jeydon and me made a faces at each other then started laughing. He then smiled and leaned over and kissed my cheek. I started blush because for one I was surprised and for two it was sweet. I leaned over to him and gave a kiss on the cheek as well. Right as I went to pull away he gave me a hug. Awwwwwe, he's so sweet! I hugged him back as Molly smiled at us.

Awwwe :)... I like the new neighbors don't you? So how do you like Jeydon? Do you ship Sophia & Jeydon? Will Sophia and Jeydon end up together in the end? Also what would Jason think if he found out?
