Chapter 28: Daddy!

ARIELA'S POV

"So beautiful!"
"Ah-handsome!"

The first thing I can feel was the painful sewing from my lower body between my legs. My body feels tired and worn as the incessant noises from the room doubled its volume.

Slowly opening my eyes, I see white but blurry. I don't know which is which to focus on, the heaviness of my eyelids or the noises inside the room?

"Good morning, Mommy!" After blinking a couple of times, the sight before my eyes became clearer. It's my baby's gloved hand that Xerxes used to wave in front of me. "How are you, Mommy Pretty?" Xerxes' voice sounds so cute while continuously waving the gloved hand, carrying one of our babies in his arms.

I can't help it but to smile. My feels body lighter compared last time and my belly is girdled.

"I love you, Mommy. Please wake up..." Xerxes cutely bubbled like a baby, mimicking the baby's voices to suppress the words my babies would say in my situation.

"I love you, baby." I lovingly replied weakly before opening my eyes as wide as I can, I want to see my babies!

The room is filled with white and red flowers, balloons, confettis, ribbons and a big 'CONGRATULATIONS' greeting in bold letters, hanging on the white walls not far away. Which means, a lot of people came.

"They're here..." I whispered after getting through my visitors one by one. Who would have thought I have this much visitors after giving birth.

Diane, Nena, and Rafael are here too! The three of them were adoring one of my babies in Rafael's arm, love and adoration twinkle in their eyes along with sweet smiles that doesn't seem to disappear.

Honey, Mrs. Carter and three other guys who I don't know were also adoring my other baby in Honey's arms. All of them looks so happy and proud of the sight in front of them while the third baby is in Xerxes' arms before me. All of my babies are here, healthy and handsome.

"How are you feeling, Kitten? Do you need some water?" Finally, Xerxes spoke gently with concerned eyes while the baby in his arms started moving his little gloved hands. My baby...

"I'm perfectly fine. Let me see my babies please..." I plead while trying to move myself to sit comfortably on the bed despite of the pain I can feel beneath me.

"Careful..." Xerxes gently murmured before placing a soft pillow behind me to lean on using one of his arms before caressing my cheek softly. "I love you..." he whispered before landing a kiss on my baby's forehead.

"I love you too, Mr. Kings but right now, I want to see the faces of my babies." I chuckled softly after those words. He smiled and you know what? It's a smile that reaches his eyes.

"You've been out for almost a day and I'm so glad you're awake. This baby in my arms is the second one to come out. He's our Batman." I was shaking when he leaned to show me the baby's face. His soft skin, the little lips, the baby hair and the way he open and close his black eyes melted my heart, it made me fall in love with him. I almost tear up when I tried to hold him in my arms. "Not yet, Kitten. You just woke up."

I almost forgot because I feel like I've regained my strength when I saw them. I nod sadly at Xerxes before using the tip of my pointed finger to touch his chubby cheek. So soft and delicate. I can't believe that I carried them inside me for nine months and now they're here. The pain on my back, the suffering I've been through and the food diet I endured during my pregnancy has finally paid off.

"The baby covered in blue..." He gestured at Rafael carrying one of my babies. "That's Superman, he's the first one to come out, he's the eldest among the three as well as the biggest..."
