if I ever get any free time; I may consider finishing this story and edit it to make it less cringy.
Aeri woke up extra early for work. The sun was up and she knew it was going to be a happy and bright day. However that wasn't the case when it started raining as soon as she opened the curtains. She let out a sigh and decided to take a shower to look fresh on her first day at work.
It was 7:30 am and she had to get to the café by 8. Taking a quick shower, she took out a high-waisted pastel skirt and a plain white sweater with matching sandals. Once she had put some light make up on her face, she took her keys and said bye to her father before exiting the house.
She was excited to work at the café even though it wasn't that exciting of a job. However, she looked forward to meeting Yoongi at noon in the park where she saw him every day. Out of all the men in Korea, Aeri hadn't expected a man as handsome and cool as Yoongi to ask her out.
She was curious about what he did but didn't want to dig into personal business too fast so she decided not to ask the man that question again. Maybe he was a drug dealer or a kidnapper... no wonder he had piercings on his ears (which by the way looked super hot). Aeri shook her head silently scolding herself for thinking such things. She watches too many movies.
"Good morning" an old lady's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She observed that the rain had stopped and the sun was peeking out from behind the dark clouds, showing it wouldn't be raining any time soon.
A smile lit up on her face as she waved at her old neighbour who was hanging out the washing in her small garden. "How are you Mrs. Ahn?" The old lady smiled at her, showing her wrinkles.
"I'm fine, how are you dear?" She replied as Aeri came up to her and started hanging out the clothes along with her. The old woman really liked her new neighbour, she was so kind and loving and she wished the girl was her own daughter.
"Great" Aeri said as they finished hanging out the washing. "It's my first day to work at the café today"
"Oh! Good luck then dear" Mrs. Ahn said as Aeri nodded her head and skipped out of her garden with a 'thanks'. The old lady chuckled and shook her head as she closed the door to her house, disappearing from sight.
Aeri had met Mrs. Ahn the day she moved to Seoul. The woman lived alone as her only son lived out of the country and her husband had (sadly) died a few years ago. She had a small flower shop attached to her house as a source of income but her son paid her visits from time to time. She seemed to be happy living alone with a Korean jindo by her side. The dog was extremely adorable and had become attached to Aeri.
Once she had reached the café in town, she opened the glass door and a bell jingled indicating her entrance. The 4 hours working in the café were well spent as Aeri learned a lot and got taught what to do and how to serve customers.
