Chapter 04

The last clothes I put inside the suitcase is my summer dress. I paused and got it back. I take a glance at it. I got my other summer dress and I compared it with the first one.
Which is more beautiful and fashionable among them?
Someone knocked on the door. I will bring them both, wala naman mawawala.
"Come in!" I shouted.
Tomorrow is our flight to Surigao. I'm very excited but the loneliness and sadness keep on killing me.
The pain is still here. I don't know when it will fade away. I'm always praying that this pain will be gone.
There's no permanent in this world. Pain is never permanent, it will be filled with happiness.
Limwell hurt me too much. He's being too much. I think, too much is bad. I'm being desperate in my actions. I'm losing myself when he's in front of me.
The door opened. I saw Donya Almeria enter the room. She tucked her hair behind her ears and straight walked through my direction.
"Yes, Tita?" I questioned her look, "Are you coming with us?"
She stood up in front of me and slowly shook her head. "No, Yries. I just want to check you. How are you?"
I sat down. "I'm okay, Tita Almeria. You don't need to worry about me. Next meeting, I will bring my hard copy of the paintings with me."
Tumango siya sa akin. She licks her lips. "You should take a lot of care tomorrow when you reach Siargao. Medyo masama ang panahon dito sa Manila."
Donya Almeria is so kind. I wonder why her husband left her without any words. Donya Almeria lovelife is no joke.
I asked her, curiously.
"Nope. Your Tito Romeo and Tita Sassy will stay here for one week. Habang wala kayo ay gagawin naming dito ang ibang business..."
We don't have a permanent business. The Macalia business are hotels and restaurants while the Estacio business are transportation, The Philippine Airlines in Manila and Shipping lines in Batangas and Palawan.
"Okay..." I simply answered.
She glanced at me. "Yries. You don't have a boyfriend, do you?"
My eyes get bigger. Mabilis akong umiling. "Nothing. Wala pa sa isip ko 'yan..."
Lies again! Lies!
"Good. Boys are always boys. They will just play with your feelings. But if you really fell in love, tell me, ako ang unang kikilatis pero hindi pa rin ako papayag."
I slightly smiled. Even though, Donya Almeria is bitter about others love lives, she only wants the best for me. For us. She's my second mother.
"You don't need to do that, Tita. I can sense a boy if he is serious or not. Trust me."
She nodded her head and smiled fiercely. "As long as you're not going to have a boyfriend I will trust you. Huwag ka munang magbo-boyfriend."
