Sans was still screaming and crying. Gaster was getting sick of it and decided to make him stop. But when he did get there, Sans was asleep and a person was standing over him. The moment they looked up Gaster took a step back and the person disappeared.
Time skip
Gaster woke up with a start. The person he had seen with Sans was in his dream. They had told him to be nice to Sans. Or else he would end up dead. He wasn't sure if it was a threat or warning. (It was both ;).)
But he had seen their face. And fell in love instantly.
