Once in a Blue Moon

Chapter 22.

I just hope he is trust worthy, you never know who is.
"If you want to reach him, follow me silently." Casper says with a serious look on his face.
"Okay." I reply. I hope I find him. What will I do after finding  him? I mean how will I stop him, I am the same, but weaker. He can kill me very easily.

I have to fight!
How?

Casper begins to walk in the forward direction, I follow him.
Where will be Vinkart? Till now, I have heard a lot about him and his eye, which is everywhere; something which all say. Why is he so cruel?
He need to save his life, why do he need to save himself if he is immortal? Because he is not, the way to kill him is to either tear his heart apart or to finish his powers and both are harder than the other, which virtually makes him immortal. I do not have enough power to defeat him, its nearly impossible.
Fear crawls in me, what if I really do fail?

Intention matters not power! I console myself. But...

Sometimes you do need power. Today I realize that not only normal humans need miracles, the world of magic also need a miracle, an angel to help me maintain my balance in these stormy winds.

Where is he taking me? He is just walking and walking. I hope he is not tricking me, if he is, I am in a big trouble, but hoping for the best, I'll follow him, that's the only choice left.

"Casper, where are we going?" I ask him.
"As far as I remember, I did mentioned the word 'silently' before I moved my feet, didn't I?"  He replies. I sigh with irritation.
"But as you have questioned, I will answer you. I am taking you to Vinkart." He says.
"And where will he be?" I ask.
"In the light which blind can see." He replies. "You will find him in where I am taking you to."
"I hope I can trust you." I say.
"Let me tell you an interesting fact about myself: I never trust myself."

What if he is really tricking me?
"Why?" I ask him.
"Because, my decision keeps changing a lot." He laughs.
Oh...my heart pounds as he laughs.
"Anyways, we have completed half of our journey." He says.
As his words crawl into my ears, my eyes rush to find the place where actually I am, my mouth opens a bit in shock. I see the castle. Why are we back? Now I am scared.
"Why are we back to the castle?" I ask.
"I suppose I did mentioned the word 'half'. I believe you know what it means. Indirectly, half of the journey is still left."   He says.
Is Vinkart inside the castle? Really! If he is somewhere inside the castle hiw come Rossana never found him, until unless he is not actually inside the castle.
"Do you know anything about his appearance, so that you can recognise him?" He asks. Of course I know what he looks like.
"Yeah, I have seen him." I reply.
"Last, when?"
"Actually, five years ago."
"You barely know him." He whispers slowly and then laughs out loud. Why does he need to laugh all the time?

The situation where I am standing in is not good, really not good.
I hope it gets better instead of getting worse.
He walks towards the gate of the castle and without the gate being opened, he enters the castle.

ow shall I go in? Of course I can also perform magic, I am just not able to do it. I stare at the gate, thinking about a way to pass it and a face just pops out of the door and I scream. After a second I realize that its Casper.
"Have you forgotten, how to perform magic?" He asks while raising his left eyebrow. "Or, are you scared?"
"Well, I am not scared." I reply confidently.
"Anyways, at the present, you really do not have to perform magic because if you do, you'll reach the undesriable place. Do me a favour, close your eyes." He says. Why should I close my eyes? This is too confusing.
"Close!" He says again.
I take a deep breath and leave all my desisions on God.
As I close my eyes, darkness surround me.
Even though my eyes are closed, I see a white light infront of me, fighting the darkness and then finally bursting out like a flash which aches my eyes.

"Open your eyes." Casper's  voice crawls into my ears. I open my eyes. All I see is darkness. In darkness, my eyes search for light.
As my eyes catch a bit of light, I see a scenario of Grandelle drowning in ice. It is the same scenario of what happened five years ago.

Maybe my eyes can just see my imagination.

How easily did he froze all and killed all? Most importantly, he killed father. That rain! My soul shivers as I think about that day. If I have got the oppurtunity to defeat him, I will, I will kill him, tear him apart, cut him into pieces, I will take my revenge.

The scene which just appeared, suddenly disappears from my eyes and its all dark again.
"Casper, can you hear me?" I ask. I can't find him.
"I can." I hear his voice.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"To master." He says. He is truly a slave. How can someone be Vinakart's slave?
I see few sparkles appear and lights enter my eyes. As my eyes catch some of the light, I see Casper infront of me.
"Sorry for the darkness, no one is allowed to see the path which goes to master."
I look around, I see a roof where a chandelier is hung, and four walls. The view infront of me is blocked.
"Where are we?" I ask.
He don't answer me. "Be smart." He says and disapper. I look around as my eyes search for him. The view infront of me is unblocked. I see big chair covered with navy blue velvet cloth. The chair is empty.
"Master, I have brought you the one you asked for." I hear Casper's voice. I look around to find him but I don't.
Was it a plan? Bringing me here was a part of his plan? Oh God!
Fog appears, covering the chair.

As something becomes visible, I see a man in black appear. The fog disappears and I see David. David, with green eyes, sitting on the chair calmly. It shouldn't be him. What has happened to him? My heart pounds as I see him. Tears start to roll down my eyes.

It was all a plan, what am I going to do? Now I don't even know where Vinkart is. He brought me to David, maybe because he'll just kill me. I am so going to lose!

Isabelle. I hear Casper. It was all a plan, honestly unplanned. Be smart. His voice enters my ears.
What does he mean?
