My Boyfriend Tyler, But my Ex Jake

One day I sat on the couch and watched switched at birth on Netflix, my boyfriend Tyler came in and sat down next to me, I looked at him and smiled. " what's wrong Nicole?" I paused the show," you know my ex- boyfriend, Jake?" He looked at me really serious." Yeah. What about him?" I took a deep breath." He gets kinda mean when I date someone new." Tyler turns off the tv and walks in the kitchen, I follow him and sit down." I hate him." I stare at him and blink." I'm sorry, you hate him?" He turns and looks at me." Yes. Nicole, I hate him. And you should too." I stand up and roll my eyes." Well there's nothing I can do to stop him from me dating you." He gets up and kisses me on the cheek." I'll see you later. Okay?" I sigh and nod." Yeah.love you." He goes outside to his truck and leaves. I close the door and slide down and sit in the floor. I soon get tired so I go up to my room I close the door and lay down until I fall asleep.

3 minutes later
I'm sleeping peacefully when I hear a loud band on the door I jolt up in bed and go down to answer the door. I open it and standing there is not Tyler but my ex- boyfriend Jake. I go to speak but he interrupts me like he always does." Hello.Nicole." He comes in and closes the door, I back up a few feet and hit a wall behind me." Jake. Why are you here?" He looks mad but confused as why I'm asking him that." No, Nicole!" I jump a little." Why are you dating that idiot guy Tyler!?" I stare at him and take a deep breath before I say anything." I don't know who your talking about, Jake!" He steps back a few feet from me looking shocked that I just yelled at him." Bullshit, Nicole!" I flinch a little when he yells at me again." I was coming here when I saw his truck going past me. Now, who is this Tyler guy your dating?" He starts to calm down and so do I." He's my new boyfriend." He comes to me and stares at me." Tyler is your boyfriend?" I nod my head and sigh." Nicole, I told you, you are not allowed to date anyone else but me!" I jump yet again to him yelling at me like this." We broke up 3 yrs ago and now your telling me I can't date anyone else!" He takes a step back." Jake, I can date whoever the hell I want and there is nothing you can do about it. So just go away and leave me and Tyler alone okay?!" I stand there breathing heavy, feeling good that I just yelled at him and for standing up for myself." Nicole, I am your boyfriend and you have to obey everything I say or you will get serious consequences." I stare at him very confused." What?" He sighs and rolls his eyes." Nevermind." I shrug my shoulders and take deep breaths." Can you please leave now?, Tyler will be back any minute and I don't want him to see you." He turns and looks at me, he walks towards me and gives me a hug and a kiss." I love you Nicole. Never forget that." I nod my head and take one last deep breath. I watch him walk out the door and I close it, I lock it and I slide down again and start crying.

Tyler POV
After I left I drove down the road and I saw Nicole's ex boyfriend Jake walking towards her house I shrugged my shoulders and kept driving, I stoped at a liquor store and went in. I grabbed a few bottles of vodka and alcohol, I grabbed a snack and drink for Nicole. When I went to go pay for my stuff I kept thinking about her ex. He's always been a jerk to Nicole and now I'm going to kill him. I payed for my stuff and went to my truck I got in and drive back to Nicole's house as I was driving I looked ahead and saw Jake coming out the door and walking down the sidewalk, I pulled in the driveway and parked the truck, I got out and slammed the door. I gave him a death glare and went inside. I opened the door and I didn't see Nicole, I turned around and Nicole was in the ground crying, I put the stuff on the island and ran over to her." Nicole, sweetheart, look at me." I picked her head up and she was crying uncontrollably. " Tyler, He was here in the house, he yelled at me." I gave her a hug and a kiss." Nicole. I promise I will not let him hurt you. Okay. I love you. He doesn't." I sat down and held her in my chest, I kissed the top of her head. " are you hungry? I brought home dinner." Yeah. I am actually, thanks Tyler." I laugh a little and so does she. Nicole falls asleep after we eat dinner so I take her up to bed. I come down and drink some alcohol and check my phone. I get tired so I go upstairs and lay next to Nicole. I wrap my arm around her waist and we fall asleep.
