Tyler will protect me, Jake will hate me

Tyler POV
I sat in my truck outside our house, waiting for Jake to show up so I can talk to him, well actually to kill him, he wants to hurt Nicole and I'm not going to let that happen. Me and Nicole were close when we were young, we sat by each other everyday at lunch, we always held hands, she was the best friend I've always wanted and her ex is getting in the way of that. I see him walk on the sidewalk towards my truck. I get out and once again I slam the door, he approached me and I stared at him." Jake." He gave me a sudden glare and smiled." Hello, Tyler. Nice to meet you, I hear you are the new guy who is dating my girlfriend." I stare at him more and finally speak up." Yeah. I am. But I'm warning you Jake, stay away from Nicole and me and there will be no problems. Understand me?" He clicks his tongue and laughs. " sure, but I need you to do one thing for me and I will be out of your way." I stare at Nicole through the window nodding my head to assure her it was okay. She walks away into the kitchen, I face back to Jake." What do you want?" I say standing up for myself. " I want Nicole to come with me, you know so we can chat and catch up." When he said that my knuckles clenched at my side, he was pissing me off and I am not letting him go near her at all." No. Jake she doesn't want you anymore, she is with me now and that's final! I love her, care for her, and keep her safe, and I swear if you even think about going near her or even touch her, I will break your damn neck in a second! So you get out of here and never come back! Got it?" He takes a step back and nods his head." Yes, ill go now. Bye Tyler. Tell Nicole I said hi." I take a deep breath and relax a little, I just stood up to Nicole's ex by myself! That felt amazing! I didn't say anything and walked inside I shut the door and locked it, Nicole came from the kitchen and gave me a hug and a kiss. " Tyler. That was awesome. You are the best boyfriend I could ever ask for!" I smiled and gave her a hug. We ate lunch then we sat down and watched a movie.

Nicole POV
I was in my room after mine and Tyler's romantic talk, I put on  a black T-shirt and blue jeans, grabbing my phone I ran downstairs getting hungry I turned the tv on and went to the kitchen I played music on my phone and cleaned off the table in the dining room, I went to the living room and cleaned up and then the kitchen, I went back to the living room to relax, Tyler came downstairs and gave me a kiss. He is so sweet and I know I'll be okay because he will protect me always and forever." Hey Tyler. Whee are you going?" I stared to get a little worried about him, I got up and he looked at me and started pacing, I stopped him and looked deep in his eyes." Tyler, I need you to tell me what's wrong. Are you okay?" He looks at me again and I can tell he's about to say something and when he does it shocks me." I'm fine Nicole, I'm going outside to talk to your ex, I want you to stay inside and keep the doors locked okay?" I nod my head because if I go out there I will be scared and will end up bad again and I don't want that to happen again." Yeah okay, I will be safe okay, I promise. I know I will because Tyler will protect me no matter what. He gives me a kiss and goes outside as son as he does I lock the door and stay inside. I start to feel hungry so I walk into the kitchen while I'm making lunch I hear talking I stop what I'm doing and go to the window, I see Tyler confronting my ex Jake. When I see Jake I get scared but suddenly Tyler looks at me and nods telling me it's okay I walk away into the kitchen and finish I soon hear yelling outside and I run to the door I slide down and stay strong, once it stops I get up and unlock the door, Tyler walks in and I give him a huge hug and a kiss he does the same." Good job Tyler. You stayed strong for me and stood up to him. That was Amazing!" He smiles and I do too, we go eat lunch and then we go sit in the couch and I cuddle next to him and we watch a movie. " Tyler? Can I tell you something?" He looks from the tv to me and smiled." Of course you can, what's up sweetie?" I smile when he says that. Sweetie is such a cute nickname." I love you Tyler." He smiles and kisses me and I return the favor." I love you too Nicole."
