Karissa's P.O.V.
The basketball practice was going so well. Their drills were looking well and Sarah ended up filling up the waters when they needed it. I've been playing the game Jack and Jack created ever since it came out. So i was sitting there focused on the game and all i hear is, "Karissa! Watch Out!" I go to look up and then boom! The ball hits me in the face. I wasn't dizzy. I wasn't seeing stars, but i did see Sam come running to me. "Karissa! Are you okay?" "How many fingers am i holding up?" "How many of me are there?" "Do you want me to take you to the trainer?" All Sam was doing was asking me questions. "Sam I'm fine," was all i could really pull out to say. Sam insisted i went to the trainer, so i let him take me there. I know i just got hit in the head with a ball, but worried Sam made my heart melt. We walked into the trainer and Sam told the trainer everything. "Thank you. You can go back to practice now," the trainer told Sam. "I'm not going to leave until i know my best friend is safe and not concussed," Sam went on to say. That's when it really hit me that I'm still in the friend zone. I began to play with my hands because one, i didn't want Sam knowing how i felt for him , and two i didn't want Sam knowing i was hurt by him saying that. The trainer interrupted my thoughts and told Sam that I was in good hands. Instead of walking out, Sam walked over to me. "After practice, can i take you out to eat somewhere? Because I'm pretty sure the ball that hit you was my fault." Sam said. I looked at Sam and said, "Sam, you really don't have to.." "But i want to." was all Sam could say before leaving to go back to practice. After Sam left, i went to go take the concussion test just to make sure i was okay. I ended up passing, but wow that test was hard. I walked back into the gym and saw that their practice ended up ending because their coach thought they should enjoy the rest of the day. I have never heard a coach say that but hey i enjoy getting out of there at noon instead of one. Sarah and I emptied out the water faster than usual and once i walked out of the trainer, i ran into Sam almost immdiately. Sam actually was holding my sweatshirt and bag for me so we could leave right away. We ended up going to Buffalo Wild Wings with Mike and Brock. We got seated and on one side it was Sammy and I and on the other side it was Mike and Brock. Brock and the Jacks were probably the only boyfriends i had that were too good for me. Those relationships just didn't work out because we were just too close of friends. I have a theory that Brock and Sarah secretly like each other, and I'm almost positive that I'm not the only one that thinks that. "Hey Brock, what do you think of Sarah?" I decided to say. I began to notice Brock turn bright red as he was about to say his opinion. "I think that she's a great girl and any guy would be lucky to have her." Brock quickly said. "Oh so a guy like you?" I said to Brock as i began to smirk. "I mean i would ask her out but i always get this feeling that she'll say no." Brock said. "Just be a man and go for it." Sammy stepped in and said. The fact that Sammy was giving relationship advice when he hasn't even had a girlfriend just made me laugh. We were about to leave when Sam stopped me.
