Karissa's POV
I ended up falling asleep on Sams shoulder the rest of the plane ride but he didn't mind that. I woke up to us nearing the airport on Nebraska. I came to a realization that if Sam and I walked in to the airport hand in hand, then my mom just would assume and then I wouldn't have to say much about it. We got off the plane, grabbed our carry ons, and headed towards baggage claim. Sam looked at me and said," You don't have to be nervous. Your mom was rooting for us the entire time." I looked at him with a confused look and said,"what do you mean?" "I might've asked your mom for permission to date you before we left for Chicago..She was definitely all for it. So basically she saw it coming because she knew that there was a more than best friend connection between us." I smiled and playfully hit him and said,"Sam! Why didn't you tell me? I've been a nervous wreck this whole ride!" "I forgot about it until you just mentioned it!" Sam said laughing.
