He had to make a decision, and fast. His sister, and his lover. Who would he choose? "Make your decision fast, boy, or we may just kill them both." The male with the black hair and bright red eyes snarled.

"She needs you, my love." His girlfriend of five years murmured, "Go to her. Save her. There will always be more of me, but only one of your sister." He could see the tears welling up in her eyes, and hesitated. "No! I can't." He whispered, feeling his throat tighten. "I need both of you."

"How about this, loverboy? I kill all three of you, just to make sure this stays quiet." Red-eyes snarled out, baring bloody fangs.

"No. Kill me but... Let them go, please." Jordan whispered, a few tears making tracks down his face. "I want them both to be okay."

"Aww, how sweet." One of Red-eyes followers sneered, "boss, jus' let us drain them! He can't choose." The pale... creature was right. He couldn't. He would never be able to choose between the two people he loved the most.

"Fine." And with a flick of Red-eyes' fingers, he lunged for Jordan, teeth bared. His fangs met Jordan's neck and it was all over.

The pitter-patter of feet on linoleum was the only thing that could be heard. Three sets of feet, to be exact. "Where are we?" Selene whispered, pressing herself close to her brother's side. Jordan had no idea.

"Are we... dead?" Grace gasped, noticing a bright light growing in front of them. "Look! Where's it coming from?"

A fair-skinned woman with a light purple and blue dress stepped from the light, seemingly from nowhere. "Hello, children." She said with a voice smooth and as soft as silk.

"Who are you?" Selene took a tentative step forward, reaching out a hand to touch her, just to make sure she was real.

"Who I am doesn't matter right now, my children. You will find out soon enough. You three shall bring about a new time, a new era. With my help, of course! Nothing lasts forever but you three will."

"What does that mean?" Jordan choked out, stepping backwards. "that makes zero sense!"

"You will find out soon enough, what that means. Your legacy is very important, you must spread your petals to survive. Think of it as another chance of life; a reincarnation of yourselves, if you will." The woman purred softly, holding out her hands for them to take.

"All it takes is one simple touch, and you will be safe from them." she spoke, but her voice began to shake, and they were running out of time.

The last thing Jordan remembered was reaching out to touch her fingers, wondering what would happen when he did.
