Diesel had managed to make it inside, stumbling over Selene. He collapsed on one of the small cots that the place had, his breathing deepening. Selene scrambled to her feet, eyes wide. What was happening?

She was acutely aware of the more cramped environment; four people in the corner, all knocked out. She nudged Grace, looking down at her nervously. The door opened and Selene nearly jumped out of her skin as Jordan walked through the door, a tiny bit of blood running from his mouth to his chin.

"Oh my god, Jordan! Did they get you?!" Selene scrambled backwards, eyes wide with fear. She didn't want to have to kill her own brother! Jordan shook his head, snickering a bit.

"I managed to shift; it was hard but I got through it just fine." He looked over at the humans that were all huddled up on a single cot, "I even managed to do a bit more."

"You brought them in? From where?" Grace asked, eyes wide. In response, Jordan gave her an incredulous look.

"Where else would I have gotten them? The blood moon meeting of course! But now that I've said something, I've come to a realization!" Jordan spoke, puffing out his chest slightly.

"Go on, then, big bro." Selene leaned back, more relaxed now. "What realization have you come to?"

"We're not in this alone; it's not just the three of us. It's six!" Jordan said, looking excited. "Our beasts are there to help us, make decisions with us. If one of us is too weak to continue on, they aren't!"

"How do you know this?" Grace looked skeptical, as if she couldn't believe that Vixen could ever help her out in any situation.

"Because while I was a beast, I didn't know how to fly. So Slithers helped me save those kids by taking over for me! We're more than just two souls trapped in one body, we're partners!"

"Niiiicely said." Slithers crooned, "But good luck convincing them that it will help them out in the long run if they have a good relationship with their 'partners'." Slithers was right! They'd have to wait until the right time to realize that they desperately need their beasts.

"Even if you don't realize it now, just wait. There will be a time when you can't go on alone," Jordan smiled, like he knew something they didn't; and he did. His sister and girlfriend did look even more skeptical than before, and they didn't really believe him.

"Right. So explain why Diesel came in and tripped over me and then collapsed on a cot?" Selene asked, getting to her feet.

"He asked me to turn him. So I bit him." Jordan shrugged. "He'll wake up eventually. And Slithers said he'd be one of us."

"You bit him? We're not vampires!" Grace huffed, "What if our teeth are laced with venom?"

"I think that's the point, Grace. Just wait, he'll wake up eventually. And maybe he'll have seen the woman we saw. Speaking of which-We need to name her something. We can't just call her 'the woman' for the rest of our days!" Jordan sat down, taking a long drink of water from the bottle he'd gotten from the fridge.

"How about..." Grace thought for a moment, "Freyja? The norse God." Selene nodded in agreement, and Jordan had no qualms with it.

"Sure, Freyja works. For now, at least! Maybe she'll tell us her name later." as he spoke, a loud gasp echoed through the small room. Diesel sprung up, eyes wide with fear.

"They're coming. We have to get everyone OUT." He spun around, looking at the door as if he'd expected them to appear at any second. "The vampires! They want to slay the dragon on the mountain."
