As the last page was shut, Zane felt himself to be more confused than he was before. The world, did they rebuild it? Were they still out there somewhere, the original three? He glanced out at the harvest moon, wondering if it was a good idea to steal this book from that weird, dilapidated house. It's leather cover was torn and broken, and the spine was nearly nonexistant. Some of the pages were missing, too, which made reading hard-It seemed like whole chapters were ripped out, judging by the hundreds of pages that were halfway torn out. So much was left untouched, and he shook his head. That was enough for tonight, but he couldn't help but look over at the other side of his desk; on it was another leather book. Another one he'd stolen from the house, or... taken, really.

He was curious on what was inside it, and these books were too old to just be... fiction. Right? People back then hated fiction books! It was all non-fiction for them. But, he couldn't dwell on that now. He'd take these books as fact, rather than just some silly child's writings. He put the book aside, and took a deep breath.

It was time for him to let go of the past for one night, and start on the second another day. He couldn't help the feeling of being watched now, though. It was as if after he shut the book, something was triggered. Something bad.
