'Another day of boring school,' I thought as I opened the doors of my school. School has been in session for only a month and already I’m tired of it. Not that I ever liked school anyways. Everyone in my school, my class especially, are either annoying or just plain bitches.

I walked into my classroom and sat down in my seat at the back of the class like I do every day because there’s nothing to do in this the crappy school. Five minutes later the whole class filled up with students and the lesson started. Right now I have Math; what a great way to start the day! *sarcasm intented*

We all just woke up like two hours ago and already they’re making us think super hard and do Math problems that make no sense at all. I mean, we’re not even going to need to know this stuff in the future so what’s the point of even teaching us this shit?

They just want to waste our brains on crap; God I just wish something interesting would happen in this school! Right after I thought that, the principal came into the room. She whispered something to our Math teacher and then turned to face us.

“Class, I would like you all to meet your new classmate, Ethan Chambers. Ethan, you can come in now.” A boy with dark brown hair and green eyes walked into the room wearing a black t-shirt with a peace sign on it and jeans. I slowly looked him over.

I have to admit, he’s hot. Probably the hottest guy in the school; it doesn’t mean I plan on talking to him though. My Math teacher smiled at him, “Hello Ethan, why don’t you take a seat next to…” She looked over the whole class and stopped at the empty desk next to me. “Jade.”

My eyes widened when I heard this. Why is she making him sit next to me? There are plenty of other empty seats in the classroom. I just hope he doesn’t talk to me. “’Kay,” He said and walked in my direction. As soon as we made eye contact, I glared at him hard, warning him to leave me alone.

He just shrugged it off as if it didn’t bother him and sat down next to me. He put his bag down on the floor and looked to the front of the class. Forgetting that I had my glasses on my desk, I moved my arm causing my glasses to fall on the floor right next to him.

He looked at them, picked them up, smirked and then said, “I think they’re dead.” He cannot be serious; he’s actually using the line from Degrassi when Clare first meets Eli. Slick, but that not going to work on me. I rolled my eyes at him but played along, “It’s okay, I, uh, I don’t need them anymore, I got laser surgery.”

He continued smirking at me and said, “You have pretty eyes.” “I know. You’re not the first person to tell me that.” He laughed, “I’m sure I’m not, so does the pretty lady have a name?” I sighed, “Of course I do.” After waiting five seconds he said, “Well, what is it?”

Why the hell does he want to know so badly? It’s none of his business. “I’m not telling you.” “Alright then, I guess I’ll have to look for it in your notebook then.” Before I could stop him, he snatched my notebook from my desk and opened it. “This book belongs to Jade West. Well it's nice to meet you, Jade.”

He smirked even wider, put the notebook back on my desk and turned back to the front of the class. Before he did though, I glared at him hard. Jerk face; he thinks that I’ll fall for his bad boy act like every other girl in the world but the thing is, I’m not like other girls.

In fact, I’m way different so he’s going to have to work way harder than this if he wants me to ever like him. Even though I highly doubt he’ll succeed. “Why are you even pretending to listen to the teacher when you don’t have a textbook or a notebook anyways?”

He looked at me, “Oh because I’m afraid that if I look at your beautiful face any longer, my heart will explode from beating so much.” “Ha-ha, very funny.” He smirked, “I’m glad you think so.” I rolled my eyes, “I was being sarcastic.” “I know that.” I looked away from him, “Sure you do.”

After five minutes of listening to the teacher drone on, Ethan started talking again. “Do you have a boyfriend?” Oh God, he’s so annoying! “Why do you care?” “I’m just wondering.” “No, I don’t have one and I’m not looking for one so don’t even get your hopes up because I’m never going to fall in love with you.”

“How do you know that?” He raised an eyebrow at me. I glared at him for the third time today, “I just know, okay?” “It doesn’t mean that I can’t try. I’m sure if I keep trying I’ll eventually succeed.” “Yeah sure, whatever you say conceited jerk.” “I’ll take that as a compliment.”

“It wasn’t meant to be one.” He just smiled, “I know.” Right after he said that, the bell rang. I quickly picked up my bag and walked out of the classroom before he could say anything else. Well, at least life is more interesting now…
