I instantly regretted thinking he's not that bad. He is that bad. No, he's even worse than that bad. He's annoying and just ugh! I can't stand him! No matter what I do though, I can't seem to shake him off. I don't even know what he finds so interesting about me that keeps him coming. I tried to avoid talking to anyone this year and here he comes ruining everything. I'm just glad that the school day is over and I can finally be safe at home and away from him.

The first thing that I noticed though when I went on my laptop was a friend request on facebook. I clicked on it to see that it was Ethan. Why am I not surprised? How did he even get my facebook anyways? He probably just searched my name and found me immediately. I should really put a fake name so that way nobody can search for me but then again, I didn't expect to be searched for. There's no way in hell that I'm accepting his friend request. I might as well check his profile though.

I began going through his info and noticed that we had a lot of things in common, such as the music we listen to and the books we read. But knowing him, he could've changed his info to match mine thinking that it would get me to like him. Pfft, yeah right. I then began going through his photos, most of them self-taken but some of them looked like they were professionally taken. It seems he comes from a rich family. Any normal girl would've been fawning over these photos but I'm no normal girl. Though I can't deny that he doesn't look bad in them.

Now to go back to my friend requests...

I clicked the decline button on Ethan's and smirked victoriously. That should hopefully show him that I hate his guts and don't want to talk to him. I got up to get a bag of chips from the kitchen but when I came back, I noticed that I had a friend request from his sister, Lucy. Since I don't hate her, I decided to accept her friend request. Immediately, I got a IM from her:

"Hey beautiful ;)" Me: "?" Her: "Did you miss me? ;)" Me: "Oh my God Ethan, leave me alone!" Her: "You declined my friend request so I got my sister to let me use her account. Why are you avoiding me?" Me: "Because I don't like you." Her: "Come on Jade, stop pretending that you hate me." Me: "Trust me, I'm not pretending." Her: "Then why are you still talking to me?" Me: "Because you won't leave me alone." Her: "So? If you really did hate me you would ignore me."

Me: "I can't ignore someone that stalks me 24/7. Him: "Think of me as more of a protector then a stalker. ;)" Me: "Oh God, you make me sick." Him: "Oh, so I do make you get butterflies in your stomach. I didn't think it would happen so soon." Me: "You know what? Fuck you. -__-" I slammed my laptop closed right after I typed that then went to go take a shower so I could relax.

After I took a shower but couldn't help but wonder curiously if Ethan answered me or not. Giving in to my thoughts, I decided to go back onto facebook. I noticed that I had a message and opened it to see a message from Lucy. Her: "Listen, I'm sorry, okay? I don't know what got into me. Forgive me please? :) <3" Me: "If I forgive you, do you promise to leave me alone?" Her: "Hmm, if you add me on my actual account, I'll leave you alone for the rest of the day." Me: "Fine." A few seconds later, I got a friend request from his real account again and I reluctantly accepted it. After that, I got off again and watched tv until I fell asleep on the couch.

~The Next Day~

"So Halloween is next week." Ethan said to me as we sat in Chemistry class. "I know." I said. "What are you gonna be?" He asked. "I don't know. Maybe a vampire or a creepy doll." I said. "If you want, I can be Frankenstein and you can dress up as Frankenstein's wife." He suggested then winked. "No thank you. I'm sure that there are tons of girls in this school that would love to pretend to be your wife though." I said. "Yeah but none of them are you." He said. "Oh well." I said.

He sighed, "I wish you would just let me in already. I know a part of you is in need of a friend but you just won't accept me" He said. "If I wanted a friend I would've had one a long time ago. You obviously don't know what I want." I said annoyed. "Well I would if you'd just let me be your friend." He said. "Why? So you can pretend to be my friend and then stab me in the back? Or even worse, get close to me and then leave me when I need you most?" I said starting to get angry. "What? No I-" He got cut off by the bell. "Just save it for someone who actually will believe you" I said then picked up my stuff and walked to my next class.

~Lunch Time~

I opened my locker to find a bouquet of roses inside. I checked the card to see that it was from Ethan. "I really do want to be your friend, Jade." A voice behind me said. I jumped and turned around to see that it was Ethan. "Damn it Ethan, you scared me." I said. "Sorry. Listen, what happened earlier? It sounded like you were mad, but not at me." He said. "I don't wanna talk about it." I said seriously. "Well all those things that you said earlier, I would never do any of those things to you. I really do care about you Jade." He said softly.

At that moment I did something that I, Jade West, would normally never do. I hugged him. I knew that was something that I woud most likely regret but still I hugged him. And as I hugged him, tears started falling down my face. He just held me tightly as he ran a hand through my hair. After a few minutes, I pulled away and began wiping my face with my hands. "Tell anybody about this and I will kill you" I said in a slightly nasally voice. He chuckled, "Don't worry, I won't." He said.

I smiled slightly, "Good." I said then blew my nose with a tissue. "So are we friends now?" He asked hopefully. "I'll think about it." I said smiling then realized what I was doing and regained my cold exterior. He smiled, "That's good enough for me." He said then picked up the bouquet of roses. "Was this too cheesy?" He asked. "Yes, yes it was. Now lets go get lunch." I said closing my locker then began walking to the cafeteria. I don't know what Ethan did with the flowers but I'm guessing that he threw them in the garbage before following me to the cafeteria. Either way, lunch went the way it usually did except that I actually felt kinda happy. I really hope I didn't make a mistake letting him in. Well I guess I'll find out.
