"Leo! Leo, hey! Wake up!" I said, shoving his shoulder. I have places to be and things to build, and since he told me he was the best builder around, I've decided to give him a job.
Worst decision I'll probably make. But it'll all work out in the end.
"Leave me 'lone," He mumbled, pulling the covers over his head.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "You've been asleep for a whole day. You have to wake up. Sleeping isn't always the best for you,"
"You sound like my mom," He said, groaning as he lifted the covers. I noticed some dried bloodstains, but they were such small stains it was nothing to be worried about. Although, I will have a field day with laundry.
"How do you feel?" I asked, poking around at the bandages. The ambrosia really did help.
"Better, now that an angel is takin' care of me," He winked, and I felt my cheeks flush.
"I-I mean, I mean seriously," I stuttered, "Like the wounds,"
"Oh, I think I snapped my ankle, it's killing me," He said nonchalant. "You got braces in these parts?"
"Possibly. I'll go check. Don't try to walk, you'll just hurt your ankle more. AND! I left ambrosia on the nightstand. So eat it." I commanded. I went out to search for a brace, when I ran into my mom.
"So?"
"So...what?" I asked.
"The new guy! What's he like? Is he cute? Is he strong?" She drew out the word strong, making me feel beyond a level of un-comfort.
"He's...I don't know, fine, I guess? Do we have any ankle braces?" I asked, doing my best to change the subject, though that never works with mom. She always know what I'm trying to do.
"Left cabinet. Does he have curly hair? Ooo curly blonde hair I bet!" Calypso gushed, abandoning her task of peeling a pomegranate. I'll have to do that later.
"He has curly hair, but it's no halo," I joked, grabbing the brace, "I gotta go mom, see ya in a bit."
"Don't get to caught up in him! You might hurt him!"
I groaned. And sighed. It's a weird feeling when your mom tells you something like that, like on the verge of inappropriate. I'm used to it now, but it still makes me feel awkward.
"Leo, you alright?" I asked, entering the room, brace in hand.
"Doin' fine, love," He said, his voice surprisingly close to me. He was standing and walking. "Look! No hands!"
"I told you not to walk! You could fa—" And just like that, he fell. Right. On. Top. Of. Me.
"Woah. Hey there girlie," He flirted with a smirk. He rolled himself off of me, and yet, I was still lost for words.
"I told you not to walk,"
"I know. But now I feel like we are on a new personal level with each other, ya know?"
"No. I don't know," I said, flustered and emotional. Why did I not want him to move? I wanted him to stay. To feel someone else's warmth. To be in someone's embrace.
I had missed that about Damian.
Leo began to feel the awkwardness. "About the brace?"
"Y-yea. The brace,"
