Saying goodbye to my mom was hard, despite her being a terrible mother. Before we left, she wished me the best and went her own way to the south americas. I haven't seen her since. I never thought I would actually miss her.
"You alright?" Leo's voice took me back into reality.
"Fine,"
"Whaddya think of grand ole Manhatten?" He said with jazz hands. I giggled a bit. Manhatten was nice but it was much too loud and cramped. The people weren't the nicest either.
"It really is a beautiful city. The architecture is amazing!" I gushed, pointing at a building made with columns and crown moulding. Reminded me of home, wherever that was.
"This is nothing. At night, it's so much better. The lights shine so bright, and when you're on the tallest building here, you can see for miles! It's real romantic," He winked at the end, sending me into a flurry of blushing. "But, I can't take you. You and me together, in New York, sends off really strong vibes to the monsters round these parts. Say, how good are your fighting skills?"
"Uh...never had to fight before. Just verbally," I answered. "But...since I'm a titan, couldn't I control them?"
Leo considered this. "Maybe, to an extent. Once they find out you hang with demigods, they wont be too friendly, or too submissive. Willpower over power," He slapped his hands together, "But don't let that get you down! I believe you can take down-" He paused.
"What?"
He raised a finger to his lips, "There's something nearby. Stay calm," He whispered, pulling me and him into an alleyway.
"Do you sense anything?" Leo asked. I didn't respond. "Lizzy? Hey," He turned around and saw what I was looking at.
A pretty ticked gorgon.

A//N
I think I might change Lizzy's name to Lila. It's just so much prettier and I feel like that would be a good contradiction to her character. Like her name means one thing, like sweet and delicate, while her personality screams sassy and spunky. Idk. I'll try it for a chapter and see how you guys feel.
