Above is the ominous pathway to my room.As you can see, there are brick columns jutting out of the cream walls, covered with rough plaster. The lighting here is dim, even in the day, and the peculiar pictures stare disapproving. As in the description,I am in a Hotel in Turkey,Marmaris. The setting is distinctly foreboding, especially at midnight-the time I arrived. It brings a melancholy air,the heat is suffocation-crickets sings in a raucous cacophony. Early in the morning,it is far more pleasant though still this place brings thoughts of sinister things-one attempts to wander whether ghosts also inhabit the place-as well as tourists. It seems like a place out of a storybook rather than a holiday resort however it is quite to my liking. The scene above looks like one where a body man be found, murdered. However, that is in no way a judging marker for the hotel. I like it.
Balconies, fake mirrors and empty book cabinets without books. Curious. Most curious.
