Chapter 15:Battle of The Bloody Plains

A/N:this chapter will totally be in a somewhat third person view for it'll be much easier to tell this chapter.

~Crescent centre/Wolf Queen~

As the Stark forces advance upon the Tully plain,scouts report that Daven Lannister has taken the bait and left less than a 2,000 men to continue the siege and taken the rest of his forces to crush this 'insignificant' force.

Arya's plans were coming to fruition and all were set in place.Anguy and Lem took the archers to the hills and set up their viewpoint over the horizon.Arya meticulously organized her forces into a crescent formation with Dornish Spearmen in the centre in a phalanx formation flanked by Westerosi and Eastern footmen.Arya took the centre with Gendry,Maege Mormont,Greatjon Umber,Edric Dayne and Ser Brynden with her.

She looked on as Manderly and Mallister prepared the cavalry and final touches were added to the flanking tactic.Blackwood went to the forest with the Braavosi Reserve while Reed took his Crannogmen spears along with Nymeria and her wolf pack to opposite flank.

As the afternoon sun entered its light,Thoros returned with the scouts and informed that Daven Lannister was going to be upon them soon like literally soon.Before the fighting started,Lanna was spotted talking to Gendry and they kissed before he went to center with his bull helm and war hammer.As Arya look on,she could finally be in peace for he found his 'milady' love.

Arya could only think what her betrothed was doing in Storms End.But,she was snapped with Brynden telling her that the Lannister forces have arrived and they were advancing really well and singing the Rains of Castamere.Arya thanked him and when he left,she put on her light Braavosi styled scale armour,strapped Needle and her sword to her hip and pulled out her long spear fashioned with a Valyrian steel tip and strong hardwood pole.

So she went out and with the army in position,she told Lanna if the worse is too happen she is to take silver stags and gold dragons to Braavos or Storms End.She could see the Lannister forces were rushing to fight and as observed,Anguy and Lem were raining down arrows on enemy below.Her forces began chanting "The North Remembers" and begun singing 'the Ice Queen and her army' composed by Thomas Sevenstrings.

There was once a Queen.No,it was an Ice Queen,

Across the sea she was longing for home and blood,

Then she sailed across the Narrowest of Seas,

She slew all those who wronged her,

She killed the pest of the Crossing,

Beside her stood proudly the Ice Queens wolf pack.

She killed lions,insulted mockingbirds and saved the trout,

Arya Stark was her name for the Ice Queen is no one,

Beautiful yet poisonous like Nightshade but mysterious like Winter,

Thus began her reign on a throne of Ice,

Long may she reign..

As they finished,the enemy went quiet.Soon they were marching and then it all happened.

In like a flash of second,the Lannister van had crashed straight into the Crescent formation but were still pushed back.Slowly,Daven committed more troops to the situation thus limiting room to maneuver or retreat.The fighting was tense as she slashed through her enemies using the Spear Water Dance,after killing more than dozens of enemies she heard the roar of Daven Lannister "ARYA STARK!!"then they began their duel.

The intensity was overwhelming but Daven way of fighting was ruled by emotion and the need of vengeance so his attacks were more brute than brains whereas Arya's was efficient,deadly and smart movements.Her slashes were having an effect as his attacks slowed down.One can't blame him,as he was wearing heavy armour but the gaps were exploited and Arya pierced the gap between his shoulder and arm causing immense pain and as he was on his knees,he looked up and then he was knocked out with the blunt part of the spear.

~Archers/Lem~

Archers might be insignificant to some lord but Arya exploited her skirmishing advantage by positioning her archers on the nearby hills,they were able to hack off Lannister soldiers.Anguy and Lem along with rest repelled a charge of 500 western knights to break the archer positions but they were shot to pieces.Now,with the signal launched they would be doing a continuos barrage of arrows in to the clusterfuck of Lannister troops.Well maybe they would win.

~Reserves/Southron First Man~

Blackwood saw that once enemy had lost the cavalry fight he ordered the march of the reserve and with his march triggered the signal to Reed on the other side with Queens wolf pack and the Crannogmen spear troops.He could see that the moment they were in range of enemy sight,the Lannister soldiers were looking eyes widen as they were surrounded by walls of spears and now a huge wave of killer wolves who are obviously hungry for lion cub blood.They massacred the sides and moved in the centre as the enemy could not maneuver,they were like lambs to the slaughter.Then came Manderly and Mallister handing the bloody death.

~Cavalry fight/Eagle of Seagard~

When Frey,Mallister and Manderly saw the Lannister forces headbutt into the Crescent,the plan was already working with Anguy and Lem rained the Lannister flanks with brutal efficiency.When the signal was given,both lords with their cavalry charged.The Lion's horseman could not bear the strength and collapsed upon impact as only a few offered resistance the cavalry were able to regroup and re-position themselves.500 men were lost as the small resistance proved in quality but even they can't bear the brunt of 20,000 riders and knights charge.So they waited,when Blackwood and Reed finally sprung the hammer they would finish it with the anvil.

The impact of the charge was devastating as screams of soldiers in gold and red were being killed everywhere.From ordinary footman to the Knights of the Rock,they were killed equally befitting their role as the enemy.

~Crescent centre/Wolf Queen~

What she witnessed was so bloody that what she did to kill people in Braavos were like an ant to the boot compared to this massacre.Gendry was swinging his war hammer with such demonic aura 'A new Demon of the Trident' just like his father.Maege and Greatjon hacked and slashed upon countless times.Edric with Dawn filet the enemy and slowly did the enemy were crushed in.

By the end of the day,they had spend 6 hours killing the enemy troops.They had captured Ryman Frey,Edwyn Frey and the Lion himself Ser Daven Lannister.Another note,as the remaining Lannister troops surrendered the enemy camp was taken and in there they discovered information on planning an all out assault from Kings Landing towards the Stormlands again her betrothed."Gentlemen,this is dire news.Send a raven to Storms End detailing this information,our victory and our nest move."Arya told Lanna."At once Your Grace."was the response.

~Real third person view~

As promised Arya was crowned on the hills with her new crown amidst the dead bodies.Soon,the oaths were taken and out of context Ser Brynden was appointed Hand of the Queen and Castellan of Oldstones,Ser Wylis was appointed High Treasurer,Lord Reed was appointed Defender of the Neck,Lord Dayne was officially knighted by Ser Brynden,Lord Mallister was appointed Marshal of the Riverlands,Lem Lemoncloak and Anguy were rewarded with a keep and tracts of land in the Riverlands,House Frey was forgiven for the Red Wedding and finally Ser Gendry Waters was legitimized as Ser Gendry Baratheon and betrothed to Lady Lanna Lannister.

Soon,when all of these were done,the chants of "Long may She Reign!" Was chanted along with "The North Remembers!"for the rest of the night.Nymeria and the wolves howled in victory to the North.The battle of the Bloody Plains would be recorded as a massacre and it enhance Arya Stark's reputation and strength causing the final tip in balance of power in favor of house Stark.

A/N:The battle strategy was based on the Battle of Cannae between Carthage and Rome during the second Punic War.There were some changes like the positioning of the archers,Nymeria's wolf pack and the Lords skills.I fashioned Arya's armor and and weapon the spear to relate her to the Rhoynar's warrior Queen Nymeria of Dorne.
