Chapter 16:The Little Lannister

'Dark wings bring dark words' were that famous saying but it seems these pair of dark wings brought extremely good news.This must be brought to the council meeting.

As Tyrion walked to the council chambers near the King's Solar,he realized how he has gotten older,how the world was changing and how he would enjoy seeing his father rolling in the graves over this war of Lions cornered by their own kin,a dragon,griffin and a resurgent wolf and trout.

'All that stress was surely of nothing,Father..'chuckled Tyrion as he was still reeling in shocked by the news...The Battle of the Bloody Plains,the worst shame on House Lannister since the Reyne-Tarbeck Rebellion nearly four decades ago.'Thank the Seven that she spared Devan.'A Lannister worthy of being a Lannister.Still to think the entire army of the West defeated and massacred in a day led by what people mostly think an inexperience 'girl'.

'If only I was in Kings Landing to see Cersei's reaction..why must the Gods be cruel to not let me see that..?'he playfully japed.As he approached the chamber,he was hailed and brought to enter the chamber to find Half-Maester Haldon,Aegon,Connington,Rolly and their new addition Arianne Martell,Princess Heiress to Sunspear.'Doran Martell truly thinks I am that dumb to sense his daughters presence here is to woo his nephew to make another Martell Queen'.He still remembered how the girl was shocked to find out her cousin was already betrothed to another....a STARK.

"What?! You are marrying that Stark whore over House Martell,your staunchest supporter".She snapped at during the meeting when she found out about it."Princess Arianne,please calm down.This marriage is needed to bring back the North into the fold and secure aid of Winterfell.Plus,you are cousins and we are NOT planning on our King here marrying his cousin even a maternally related cousin.Who would want another Aerys II?"Tyrion argued.

"Lord Lannister is correct Princess.Dorne is related to the King by blood and another marriage between the Sunspear and the Dragon is not needed.A union of the Direwolf between and the Dragon would be the first ever recorded arrangement in Westerosi history".He swore he almost spit out his fine Dornish Red when Connington was backing him.

"In return for half of the Kingdom? That was a wise arrangement."Arianne snorted."ENOUGH!"boomed Aegon's voice of disappointment in his Martell cousin."The arrangement is already signed and will be continued when we take Kings Landing,where the wedding will be held at."Aegon said in a tone challenging Arianne to talk back.

Arianne stomped out of the chambers as her reaction."By the Gods,there is no trace of Doran Martell at all in that girl.How is he so patient with her.If it was me,she would be sent to the Silent Sisters already."Connington complained."Well maybe,the blood of the first Daenerys still flows in their veins.Then that would explained her temper,what a mix of a viper and dragons temperament."Shuddered Tyrion at his own statement .

As he entered the chamber,he could see how the tension between Arianne and Connington war evaporating.Aegon was rubbing his forehead,'He's already stress of these two,well when he's king,he'll be stress about Great Houses.

"Your Grace,Princess,Lord Connington and My Lords,Half-Maester Haldon has received a raven..with the stark sigil stamp"as he relayed the message,he could see how Arianne,Jon,Aegon and the Lords quiet down."What does it say,Lord Lannister?"enquired Aegon."Yes what does this stark bitch say?!"Arianne crudely snorted."Well here is the letter.

"Well my King,Princess and Lords,our Stark ally and future Queen says"he opens up the parchment and he saw how Aegon flushed shades of red when he said 'future Queen'."Her Grace says that...she has won.The Riverlands are hers,now she marches against Riverrun.The Lannister host led by Daven Lannister was defeated in a ruse where they were encircled at the Tully Plains and massacred.The Stark host has lost 15,000 men but the Lannister's lost 80,000 out of 90,000 men.The remainder are prisoners of war."he finished the first paragraph."Wait,there's more" he said.

"After I am done with the Riverlords,send Lord Tyrion Lannister to Riverrun.After,I finish with my domestic reforms.I plan to march on Casterly Rock,as for this I need The Lord Tyrion so we can raise the West to our Alliance.Godspeed on your progress my King."

"Signed"he said and look down to see titles.

"Queen Arya of House Stark,First of My Name,Queen of Winter,of Rivers and Hills and The First Men,Lady of Winterfell and Lady of Oldstones."as he finished he could see how Aegon,Arianne,Jon and the Lords were shocked.'Titles and achievements shock them.She knows how to play the game'

"Queen of Rivers and Hills and Queen of The First Men,she has claimed the mantle of the Hammer of Justice and the Builder.Both are blood of the First Men,with her as Lady of Oldstones,she has cemented the Starks legitimacy of controlling the Riverlands.I wonder that our King here will be short of two Kingdoms."he japed.

"How can she claim that? You are the King of the Seven Kingdoms,how can you let this be?"Arianne shouted."Princess Arianne,you are not addressing you cousin here.You are addressing your King and and Arya Stark is Queen of Winter and future Queen consort to our King Aegon,Sixth of His Name.The children from both union will bring the North into the fold for she will return the Riverlands back to the Crown."Jon snapped.

"And here,you are to respect His Grace and his future Queen as a representive of House Martell."he finalized with a glare that could rival Tywin Lannister's.

"Now my lords,besides that I have received another news from my Eastern connections.Daenerys Targaryen has stirred herself,she has destroyed the combined armies of New Ghis,Yunkai,Qarth and the Volantene fleet.It seems she returned with 50,000 Dothraki,Ser Barristan Selmy led the Targaryen sally from Meereen and she joined him with her three dragons alongside her new friends."As Tyrion finish what he had to say he noticed how tense how Aegon and Jon were.

"Lord Tyrion,is this true? Surely she has returned but the destruction of near a 100,000 thousand men by dragonfire and swords,how can you prove it?"Ask a nervous Aegon.

"Your Grace,the proof is everywhere.If you ask merchants that pass Meereen or at least Slavers Bay all have reported of three monstrous flying 'lizards' burning men and ships.They said that screams of men burning could be heard as far form the ships that sail pass.Daenerys has set Slavers Bay ablaze and has graced the soil with salt to infertile it.Qarth has also been sacked and now Volantis and the Stepstones are the only this in between us and the true 'meaning' of Fire and Blood.Not to mention that Braavos has declared for Daenerys and the Sealord has mobilized the entire Braavosi Fleet to help blockade Volantis."Everyone was silent.

Then,it was Jon Connington who spoke."Then we wait,for sometimes the best strategy is to just wait and see.We can't do anything to stop them.Daenerys Stormborn will be preoccupied with the East but I have a proposition for her.Our King and Daenerys shall be joint co-monarchs,both will be equal in power but the heir shall be His Grace.Now we must wait and see."He finished and Aegon including the lords nodded in approval to the plan.

But Arianne broke the silence."How dare you try to negotiate with this 'Queen'? What are we to fear her for? Dorne resisted the Dragons for a century and a half and we can do it again just fine!"She pointed out."Well Cousin,Daenerys is not thinking like the Conqueror for she will starved and plunder Dorne of supplies and burn her ports and castles.She will break the Spear,out burn the Sun and all the people shall die."he continued "Would you like to be a Princess that rules over ash and bones? No,good for this council is over and all will resume to their duties."Aegon stood and walked off.'Probably to watch over the Bay.'

Arianne was quiet but shamed.Aegon had broken her pride and sealed her shame in council.As his thoughts drifted to Daenerys,he wondered how was she as he almost served her but turned around and entered Aegon's service.

'Winter has arrived with the falcons,wolves and trouts resurfacing to war.The Lion is weak as the Mad Queen rules and the Mother of Dragons prepares to cross the Narrow Sea to bring Fire and Blood to an already bloodied up realm' were the secret message that Atya sent him via another raven.

'Prepare yourself Lannister for once you are here,WE will raise the West to the alliance.When this happens,the City of Kings shall be ripe for the taking for the Roses are tamed by the red she-wolf's marriage to the Heir of the Reach.'Sansa has already found someone who could truly make her happy.That made Tyrion smiled as he gazed happily into the sunset of Shipbreakers Bay.
