Still,it pained him to send two sons to war but only one to return but after a humiliating false defect to the Lannister's.He owed the Starks the oath and so he sent Davos Seaworth with a ship to Skaagos and smuggle out Rickon Stark,which he founded but that foolish Davos went to Stannis not him.
As he was ready to bend the knee to Stannis,word reach Newcastle of Arya Stark's return and her elimination of the Frey's at his granddaughter,Wylla marriage.'thank the Gods that happen' muttered on the day the raven arrived as he never wished his granddaughter to marry a Frey.
And so Manderly and Reed rode once more side by side as the loyal banners of House Stark,he arrived at Moat Cailin with Howland Reed and his Crannogmen.In the distance arrived an army estimated 10,000 men led by a woman whom was accompanied by a Direwolf bigger than that of King Robb's Greywind,banners flapped in the skies as Merman,Lizard Lion,Direwolf,Bear,Stag stood held their grounds opposite each other.
Wyman and Howland dismounted and bent the knee to the Queen.
"I,Lord Manderly of White Harbor hereby swear my oath of fealty to Queen Arya Stark First of Her Name.In the sight of the Gods of the Old and New and Lords and Ladies of the North,I swear this blood oath to the Starks." And with that Wyman cut his palm letting blood spill the soil and showed it as a testament of his loyalty.
"I,Lord Howland Reed of the Neck and Gatekeeper of the North hereby swear my oath of fealty to the one true Queen Arya Stark.To Winterfell we pledge the faith of Greywater. Hearth and harvest and we yield up to you, my lord. Our swords and spears and arrows are yours to command. Grant mercy to our weak, help to our helpless, and justice to all, and we shall never fail you.My heir swore by Earth and Water,my daughter swore by Bronze and Iron and we swear by Ice and Fire" finished Lord Reed,with that the Queen held her hand up and did what no Stark has ever does before.
"I Arya of House Stark,Queen in The North,Of Winter and the Riverlands swear that I will respect the rights of my honorable vassals oaths and traditions but if they do fail to honor those oaths swore here,I will not hesitate to deliver justice to Root and Stem" the most unexpected oath to be delivered but also swore vengeance if not honored a carefully laced promise and threat of extermination.
With that oath Wyman now knew this is Arya Stark daughter of Eddard Stark and Catelyn Tully,sister to King Robb the Young Wolf and future Queen Consort to be of the South meant business.
"Your Grace,my lords and ladies it is time we discuss what is the next course of action."said Wyman as he gestured to the Children's Tower to hold the war council.
"Of course Lord Manderly and please after this war is over be do need to rebuild the Moat to truly the defend the North."said the Queen.
