Daniel’s Pov:
Corbyn is gone.
Gone.
Forever.
It’s like everyone in my life is being taken away from me.
Slowly. One by one. They’re all being eliminated.
Why is this happening to me? What’d I ever do? Who even had the heart to do that?
That’s the thing.
They don’t.
Anybody who does that doesn’t have a heart.
I want to solve this case more than ever now. I know the same person the murdered Jasmyn murdered Corbyn. It’s been the same person.
But I don’t know how they’ve managed to get away.
How they haven’t gotten caught. How they haven’t let on any leads. How they’ve gotten away every single time.
Those are my lingering questions.

Walking into my office head done as I rub my hands through my hair, so much shit has happened I don't even understand how I'm able to get up and move every day.
In the files there were new leads, Jacks hair was found on a pillowcase, the one Jasmyn was sleeping on, along with a little bit of saliva on the pillow.
His dead skin must have flaked off in the kitchen because, in the draw with the knife's, there was a piece of his skin.
His hoodie was also found in the hotel room tossed on the living room floor. All signs lead to Jack, but yet it still doesn't make sense, why would my best friend do something like that. He didn’t know we were there. It feels like a setup.
Even in Corbyn's office, a piece of Jacks hair was found, it looks like he was running it for DNA but never got to finish. Jacks skateboard was also found just outside Corbyn's office.
But then again, Skyler wouldn't let off this case, I understand she's Jasmyn's best friend but she seems as attached to this case in the same way I am, like a deeper emotion is involved. Love? Maybe?
