i saw a car coming in view. It was a blue ferrari. It was not Raymond's. I recognised that car. It was Derek's. Derek was a vampire and represented the vampire council in my country. Guess he was my guard. I would be surprised if anyone else would be my guard instead of him. As many a times, he pulled strings to just be with me. Not that he was my crush or anything. He was more like a big brother with just the right amount of sarcasm and humor.
The car stopped a few feet behind me. Out came Derek and Elliot holding hands. Did I tell you Elliot was Derek's mate? Oh yes, it is a gay mateship. So what? I don't stereotype. I love both of them equally. "Hey Em!"Derek shouted. "Hey Derek! Hi Elliot! How are you guys?" I replied back. "We are fine. Well, Dominic told us about the powers and three mates situation. Any luck finding the third mate?"Elliot asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Well apparently I was set on making a good impression om my mate so i spent the whole of last night finding a good outfit. Now that i remember that, am i looking good? I kept my make-up to natural. would he like it or shall I apply more?" I inquired.
"It is good. He would be a fool not to like it. So I was here to leave Derek here as he is your guard. He would be there for you. You want us to drop you?" Elliot replied pulling his hand back from Derek. Derek replied by giving sad puppy eyes. Elliot chuckled.
"No, Ray is picking me up. thank god you left hands. You were practically choking me with pheromones." I replied smiling.
Elliot laughed while Derek almost blushed. Keyword being almost. "on nickname basis already?Girl you met him yesterday. Nicknames, seriously?!" He replied.
It was my turn to blush. Em I am about to arrive. Has that guard of your arrived? Ray's voice boomed through the mindlink.
yes. And don't call him guard. He is my friend. His name is Derek. I replied.
He chuckled softly but didn't reply. By now, Elliot had left already. Derek was smelling for Ray. Then, I smelled a distinct smell. One of vanilla, chocolate and pine trees. Ray was arriving. He came in a stylish black mercedes. He opened the gate for me with a bow. i chuckled and entered. Derek sat in the backseat. "Hey Em!" Ray said, "You look pretty. You should have told me so I could brace myself for the attack. Hey Derek!"
"What bro, no comment on my suit. A comment will be appreciated." Derek said,with a hint of humor in his voice.
"You look cool too bro." Ray chuckled. "You two know each other?" I asked mildly surprised. "Yes. We were classmates. Before I became the representative of your pack, I was in his pack." Derek said,"As if the Red Alpha would become friends with anyone on sight." He huffed. Ray sighed. After this I knew, this car ride would be long.

I know the updates are slow. But please bear with me. The sword of exams and results is hanging on my head. Exams finished. Result day day after tomorrow. I am A1 student. Got A2 this time. Probably will get scolded.
