Chapter 16

Perrie's POV.

When we arrive at school, Zayn and I separate and go different ways. I walk to Jade's locker.

'Hey Jade.' I greet.

'Oh hey.' she says, worry in her voice.

'What?' I ask, getting worried too.

'Uhm, miss Peterson asked me if I knew where you were and I said you weren't here yet and she said that if I saw you I needed to say that you need to come to her office.' Jade all says in one breath.

'What why?' I ask. I never came to the rector's office. Only if she asked if Jade and I would introduce new kids. But this doesn't sound as something like that.

'I dunno.' Jade answers, 'I'll wait for you outside, alright?' she asks.

'Yea, thanks.' I say.

We walk to her office and I knock on the door.

'Come in.' she says. I open the door and Jade gives me the thumps up. I force a smile and walk inside.

'Ah, Perrie.' she says.

'What's there you need to talk about?' I ask, trying to sound nice.

'Well. Perrie, the last few weeks you changed a lot. You're grades are getting lower, you miss classes, you get late repeatedly. And then, you dress different. I think it's because of that boy, Mr. Malik? Since you're dating him.' she explains.

'What's that supposed to mean?' I ask annoyed.

'I think he's no good for you. You're so much better then him.' she says.

What? Is she serious? She can't be serious.

'Excuse me?' I ask. I start to get angry now, she can't talk about Zayn like that.

'You heard me. You shouldn't date him.' she says.

'Well, that sucks, because I'm my own boss and I think he's good for me and I think I should date him.' I say angry.

'That's not a good decision. But you can go now. I said what I had to say. Class already started so you can skip for once.' she says.

I walk without saying something out of the office.

'What did she say?' Jade asks.

'Nothing.' I snap. Jade looks offended.

'I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. We can skip this class. Which one do we have next?' I ask.

'Uhm, history with Mr. Nelsons. He's back from his vacation.' she informs me. Oh no.

'I'm getting nervous now..' I say. Then she probably remembers what happened the last time again.

'If he tries something then....' she balls her fists. I chuckle.

'I think I'll be fine, Jade.'

'Yea, but for sure. I'll keep an eye on you.' she says.

The bell rings, but the history class is in the total opposite side of the school. So that means we're gonna get late.

We rush to the class, but as I said, everybody was already in and Zach too.

'So, miss Thirlwall and miss Edwards. Detention after school.' he says. Well, that sucks.

The whole lesson passes by quickly and as my surprise, he doesn't ask me to stay after class. Maybe because I have detention already?

When it's lunchtime, Jade and I sit at our usual table. When Harry and Zayn appear, they're not alone. There's a girl and a boy behind them.

'Jade, Perrie, this is Louis and this is Leigh Anne.' Harry says, 'Leigh Anne, Louis, this is Jade.'
