She didn't belong here, and Y/n knew it. Living a life with everything handed to you was not the life for her and she wanted out.

Y/n looked around her giant room and walked over to the window, peering out at the kingdoms garden below her. Flowers of every variety filled the garden. The beauty of the garden would make anyone awestruck but not her. She looked farther past the garden, until her eyes met a giant wall made of cement, vines growing on it.

Maybe one day she could be outside of the wall. She could finally be her own person. Maybe one day soon..

"Princess, its time for dinner. Your father sent me to retrieve you," a very familiar voice pulled her out of her thoughts.
"Tenya, I told you not to call me that. Just call me by my name," Y/n said, opening the door for her friend/guard.

Tenya sighed and looked down into Y/n's eyes. "My apologies. As you know I must be formal with you at all times."

"Someone was in the hallway, right? Because you don't usually call me Princess unless someone is around," Y/n said smirking at her friend.

"Uh... Yeah, one of the maids was in the hallway when I came to get you," He said rubbing the back of his neck.
Y/n laughed. They had to keep the informalities on the down low, for her and Tenya's sake.

"Well, lets get this over with," Y/n said, walking past Tenya.

Tenya quickly caught up to her, taking his place beside her. He looked down at her peaceful expression, knowing that she was hiding her true feelings inside.
She was lost here. She didn't belong. She was lost behind her older sisters shadows, trying to find her own way out of it. She wasn't free and Tenya knew it.

After walking through the castles hallways they finally reached the dining hall. A big room with a table in the center, 15 chairs surrounded the table. Even though 5 chairs where taken. The Kings sat at the head of the table, next to him was the queen, Y/n's oldest sister, Rivera, and next to her was her second oldest sister, Aria. Y/n took her spot next to Aria and sat silently. Tenya walked back out of the room and sat outside the door.

"Its about time you showed up Y/n. The food was getting cold," Her father said in a low voice.

"My apologies," Y/n replied, sounding almost like a robot.

From outside the room Tenya sat with a pained expression on his face. The robotic voice did not suit her. He preferred her bubbly cheerful voice. When she used her cheerful voice she was nagged at for her 'choice of voice'. Some phrase even he could not understand.

He did agree that sometimes her remarks were a little 'unladylike' but if that's who she was then so be it. He loved her real self, not the one her parents made her out to be.

Tenya waited patiently, usually it didn't take long for Y/n to finish her meal and leave. The quiet in the hallway was disrupted by a loud clatter, expensive plates and glasses hitting the floor.

"I WILL NOT! SCREW ALL OF YOU," Y/n shouted, causing Tenya to jump out of his seat. Y/n stormed out of the room, her h/l hair flowing behind her.

"Come on Tenya, lets go," Y/n grumbled under her breath, holding his hand and running down to her room. Tenya stumbled behind her, surprised by how strong she was.

Once they got to her room Y/n pulled Tenya inside and slammed the door. Her angry expression scared him slightly. But slowly, her angry expression turned into a sad one and she slowly broke down.

Her knees hit the floor and tears slid down her s/c skin. "I hate it here Tenya," Y/n cried. Tenya quickly crouched down next to her and pulled her into a hug, her face going into his chest. Y/n clutched onto his white shirt and continued to let out her frustrations.
Tenyas heart hurt at the sound of her crying.
