~Scarlett's POV~

Turns out that just because Sapphire and I had helped a bit, they had to take us along with them back to the dam which later ended up in taking us to a different base-- a safe house where everyone was to be moved in emergencies. As much as I would love to be able to get to know the Autobots, reality seems to be sinking in and I feel worse by the second. I wasn't the only one either, the fact being proven when Sapphire and I talked in low voices as far from the other humans as possible.

"What are we going to do?" Sapphire's question had caught me off guard.

"Hm?" I glanced at her with a raised eyebrow and she frowned.

"We don't have a place to stay, remember? We woke up at that abandoned building." She said and I sighed, seeing her point.

"What about a hotel? We still have a bit of money on us, it should be enough for at least one night..." I paused as I realized what was wrong with that plan. "On second thought..." I trailed off and the two of us sighed.

"You still got your phone?" She asked and I nodded.

"Yup. Somehow." I took the device from my back pocket and showed it to her. "You?"

"Same." She showed me her phone before putting it back in her pocket.

"At least we don't have to worry about them throwing us out on the streets for a while longer." I mused and Sapphire gave a bitter smile.

"Yeah..."

I closed my eyes before sighing softly.

'Why did this have to happen to us?' I'd be lying if I said I didn't have my fun, but as the days continue, I realize more and more how much I miss my family, my annoying younger sister included. With everything going on, I haven't had the time to think about home, especially when Simmons decided it would be fun to question Sapphire and I on how we got involved. Of course I didn't tell him anything, only sarcastic remarks that pissed him off to the point he's 'keeping an eye on us'.

Opening my eyes, I looked over at where Sam and Mikaela along with Maggie, Glenn and the soldiers were before glancing at Sapphire who was completely knocked out on one of the couches.

'Well, I guess it's not that bad.' I thought with a slight smile. 'At least Sapph is here to keep me company and no matter what happens, I know that we'll face it together.'
