It was just after eight o'clock when Lalisa stumbled into her first class of the day. Modern Arts. This was her favorite class because the students had almost complete control of their work, and were able to be very creative. But the downside was that this class was nearly three hours long. And took place every other day. But when you're dancing around with your friends, it really isn't all that bad.
All of the students had already taken their seats on the wooden floor, patiently talking amongst themselves while they waited for their teacher to come in.
She quickly spotted her small group of friends out in the crowd. There was Rose and Jennie, both vocal performance majors. And Jisoo, the acting major.
They all met just a few months ago at college orientation, and yet they were already so close.
Lisa took a seat next to Jennie, and was quickly pulled into a hug.
"We missed you at Mina's party y'know. It's never as fun without you, Lisa," Rose told her, twirling a piece of her soft pink hair around her finger.
Lisa's face showed regret for not following the crowd and going to the party, but in her head all she could think about was how she hated seeing Mina and her boy-crazy persona.
But before she got a chance to respond, Mr.Kim walked in, slamming the door behind him and gathering everyone's attention at the front of the room.
"Good Morning class. Today we're starting our first semester project. I'll be pairing you all up with a stranger and giving you one month to prepare a three minute dance that you'll have to perform in front of the class."
Mr.Kim spoke sternly and walked around the room to make sure everybody was listening. He hated repeating himself. But as he saw the looks of disgust run across all of the students' faces, he decided to continue.
"A real dancer should be able to perform under any requirements. And if the passion is real, you'll make it look like you and your partner have known each other for years. Dancing should come naturally to you all." he finished, finally stopping at the center of the room.
"The partners have already been chosen. The list is on the door," he said, gesturing to the door.
Suddenly everyone was rushing to get to the list to see who their partner was.
Even Lisa's friends had left her sitting alone as they all rushed to see who their partner was.
Most of the students were happy with who they got, and it even appeared that Jisoo and Jennie were partners, meanwhile Rose was paired with a boy named Kim Taehyung, and Lisa still had no idea who her partner was.
As the crowd started to die down, and most people were already making conversations with their partners, she had just gotten up to see who hers was.
She dragged her finger down the paper until she spotted her name. Lalisa Manoban. And right next to her name, was a boy's name. She sighed. She was expecting her partner to be the same gender, but this would have to do.
"Jeon Jeongguk?" She questioned, scanning the room for loners.
"That would be me," a boy responded, walking over to her.
