"Mom, can I go to Eden's again?" TJ asks his mother.
"What are you two gonna do?"
"You know, the usual: hang out, watch Netflix, maybe go and walk to Pop's to eat there," he says and she just nods. "Okay, fine, you two have fun."
He drops his bag in his room and gets a jacket. "Thanks mom, I'll be home by nine."
"Oh, no, you'll be home by four."
"Eight," he said.
"Five."
"Seven."
"Deal," his mother agrees and he smiles kissing her cheek.
'Well, that was easier than expected.'
He thought to himself as he made his way to his friend's house, texting that he'll come. As he knocks on the door, waiting for a response, he thought of the night he met Sweet Pea. The raven haired boy with chocolate brown eyes with an intimidating stare, but sweet when he softened. The bad boy with a Serpent jacket, it seems so cliché to even experience, but TJ did-
"Hello, earth to Tyler Jordon McCoy, are you there?" Eden says interrupting his thoughts. "I'm awake," he exclaims analyzing his surroundings. "You were under some kind of spell of something, what were you thinking about?" She asks stepping back to let him in, closing the door when he was in the house.
"Uhm, nothing special," he lies and his friend raises an eyebrow. "Mhm, so Serpent daddy is nothing special," she says and TJ chocked on his own breath when she said that. "What? no, I wasn't thinking about Sweet Pea," he denies.
"Aha, so you still know his name, so you thought about him." "His name's just extraordinary, everyone could memorize that," he argued and his friend rolled her eyes.
"Denial is not gonna help you, son," she says patting his shoulder and now it's TJ's turn to roll his eyes.
"Anyway, I was here to chill and go watch some Netflix, not for boy talk," he says sassily. "Well, you're in luck, cause we got snacks," she exclaimed happily and runned to the kitchen, her friend just walking after her. "What do we have tonight?" TJ asks curiously. "Popcorn, marshmallows, m&m's and Doritos with dip," she says grabbing all of the products. "I'll take the Doritos with dip, please," he says playfully.
~ At this point, TJ and Eden were crying over the end of The End Of The Fxcking World, well mostly Eden did the crying and TJ was ranting. "It ended with a gunshot. A fucking gunshot! They can't do that. James and Alyssa deserve each other and to be fully honest, Alyssa's dad an asshole, he can choke on dick for all I care," the boy ranted while his friend was crying in his chest. "Agreed, I second all of what you just said. Retweet," Eden said between a few sobs.
"Come, you wanna cheer up and watch some Shane Dawson?" He asked seeing the state his friend was in and he felt her nod and they switched the TV from Netflix to YouTube. After three whole videos, they were tearing up from laughter. "Wanna go to Pop's?" Eden asked calming down and her friend nodded. As they made their way to the diner, Eden stopped and placed her phone with a standard in her bag on the ground.
"What are you doing?" TJ asked laughing at his friend's actions. "Just making memories- oh, my lord look at the view," she says pointing at the setting sun and the yellow and purple sky.
They looked at it until they heard a click. "Nice one," TJ said laughing and Eden ran towards her phone. "Well, at least we don't have to fake it, look," she says showing him the picture of their silhouette with the view. "Nice, send it to me, okay?" He asks and she nodded.
"Now let's get some burgers and milkshakes," she said grabbing her friend's wrist while going to the diner. "They usual, you two?" Pop asks and the teens nod. "Okay, will come right up," Pop says and they take their usual booth.
"So, again, Serpent daddy," she says smugly and TJ rolls his eyes. "You know how much I hate the daddy kink and what about him?"
"Well, there certainly is a strange connection between you two, he seems like the type that would beat every Northsider up, but he showed you…mercy or something," she says more as a question.
"Let's just say that there was a spark, but we don't know what kind," TJ suggest. "Okay, I like that," she says and they finish their food.
"Are you sure you can walk home alone," TJ asks worried about his friend and she scoffed. "Please, if that serial killer kills me, that would be a wish coming true and if I change my mind, I have a pocket knife," she says confidentiality.
'This girl's an idiot, but I love her for it.'
"Okay, but please be careful, don't wanna lose my best and only friend," he says and she nodded. "I will, okay?" She says and he hugs her. "See you tomorrow," she says and they separated ways.
Not long after he was home he got the picture he made with Eden and posted it on Instagram.
