Earlier...
Candy was awaken by the alarm. She snuggled herself between her sheets but the alarm wouldn't stop its noise.
"Shit!!What time is it?" She asked yawning"5:45 am."she says silencing it and continues to sleep.
She then wakes up again"Dear heavens!!6:45...oh my...I was supposed to sleep for just 15 minutes and now its an hour gone..Oh boy!!!I have 15 minutes to get to work."
She runs to the bathroom and prepares herself as fast as she could then wore a blue blouse and knee length pencil skirt.
Running to the parking lot, luckily there's 10 minutes left,so she'll be late with 10 more minutes since her boss arrives at 7:30. She hurriedly parked her car and got out headed to the office.
"Oh shit!!" She said lowly as she saw the boss standing at her work station "G...Good morning sir!" The boss didn't even glance at her and passed her saying "Get to my office"
Her breathing got fast and her heartbeat could be heard from afar...oh nooo!!what now??I was late for just 10 minutes... She consoled herself entering his office..There was silence in the room as she leaned on the door.
The boss looked at her up and down"Come in and sit down"she rubbed her sweaty hands against her skirt as she looked for the right words"Sir..I'm sorry...I didn't.."
"I've got some bad news for you" he sighs"As you well know,the company is getting bankrupt. As a result,some of its employees have been shortlisted and umm...I'm sorry but your employment with the company has been terminated as of today!"
Candy stood"Oh no!!"with a lump on her throat and tears threatening to pour"this can't be happening"she left hurriedly almost tripping over the doorstep heading to the elevator.
Boss runs after her calling her name out"Candy!Candy!You have to..."he couldn't catch up with her as he was late because the door closed so he went back to his office.
She left the building and went to her car. She drove to her apartment and turned the engine off. She leaned her head on the steering wheel and let her tears just flow down her cheeks ruining her make up.
All that was on her head were the bills to pay at the end of the month. Where is she going to get another job?
She then turned the radio on and listened to the cool music playing.

Her phone rang and without looking at the caller ID she answered the phone and put it on her ear.
"H..hello!" She said trying not to sound as if she was crying.
"Hello!"
Taking a deep breath"Hello too! "She relaxed as she thought it was her boss.
"Am I speaking to Candy William?"
Confused"Y..Yes..Yes.."how the hell do you know me?
"My name is Antony Collins. I'm looking for a stay in nanny to look after my son."
Sighing "Is he a minor or?"
"No!no!he's actually a 25 year old man. He had an accident and is recovering. I need someone to take care of him.
She got excited" I can do that sir!"
"Can you make it to come today?"
"Yeah sure..Can you send me the address please?"
"456- 4th street"
"I'll call you when I get there"
"Okay" he hangs up.
Candy was left with a wide smile on her face and a lot of Thank God. She got out of the car heading to her apartment. As she was opening the door,her nosey neighbor was hanging on the rails with a glass of juice and rubbing her protruded belly.
"You're home early"
"Yeah..day off"
"Daent seem like it...with all the make up ruin on your face"
Candy shrugged and answered "Long day before entering and ignoring her.
She got into her house and looked for what to pack and what to leave behind since most of the furniture and equipment was in the house when she moved in.
She packed 3 suitcases,1 big one full of clothes,another medium one full of shoes and then a small one with photo albums and picture frames of her and her family.
It was 1 o'clock so she got to the kitchen and found some leftovers in the fridge. She warmed them on the microwave and sat to watch TV as she thought about this new job.
She then dozed off on the couch. After a while she woke up all of a sudden and looked at her watch" Oh boy!!I have 1 hour to get there..let me take a cab!"
