Waiting and watching

  Honestly waiting for Robin to wake up was like going to hell. You didn't know if he would recover, or if he would even wake up. It had been two days since he came into the tower all beaten up, near death. All of us were worried, we were so worried that none of us have slept in these last two days. I myself haven't eaten since I threw up that day. The tower was completely silent, you could hear a pen drop in every room except the infirmary where Robin was.

  "Hey...I don't honestly know if you can hear me, but I want you to know that I love you, despite all the harsh things I have said and done in the past. I was so stupid to believe that you of all people would cheat on me....please Robin wake up..." I said softly, as I grabbed his hand gently. "I love you too..." Robin said in a rather horsey voice, gripping my hand tightly. My eyes welled with tears and I hurriedly handed him a glass of water watching him gulp half of it down. "I'm so sorry Robin..." I mumbled looking down ashamed that I acted like that, which caused him to get hurt. "I forgive you Nyx, I do, but I'm sorry also." He said sadly and I lifted my head up and met his eyes worriedly. "What do you mean?" I asked worriedly, afraid he was saying his last words or he was going to end our relationship. "This whole incident caused us to miss our anniversary." He said with a slight laugh, which caused me to laugh slightly. "I care more about your safety, than some anniversary, I mean I care about that too, but...just forget it..."I mumbled looking at my lap when he slipped his fingers under my chin and lifted my head up. I let in a sharp breath which got cut off by him as he kissed me softly.

  "Robin your okay right? I mean I can sit in the chair if your uncomfortable?" I said looking up at him, my hand layed on his chest, and I in the bed beside him. He slipped his arms around my waist securely and replied with a smirk. "Nope. It's comfy with you in the bed." I smiled blushing slightly when the door opened. "I swore I heard talki- Robin!" Garfield yelled leaping into the air about to pounce on us when I flicked my hand up. "Dear idiotic brother of mine, Robin is still injured." I said as his feet touched the ground. "Right." He mumbled before grabbing ahold of the bed and looking at Robin. "Bro, do you know who Jake is?" He said looking at Robin. My heart was racing and my breathing was rapid, I was having a panic attack.

  "He was the one who killed our mother in front of us, and he was the one who locked us in that facility." Gar said, his ears loosing their usual perk as the flopped down slightly. "Oh." Was all Robin said as everyone walked into the room hearing the whole conversation. "Glad to see your okay Robin." Cy said gently patting Robin's shoulder. "I too am glad your okay friend Robin." Star said floating next to Cy, between him and Raven. "Dido." Raven replied smoothly as she hovered next to Star.

  "You made up pretty fast huh." Gar said and I shot him a playful glare. "Yes and I was being stupid, it was a stupid and utterly foolish thing I did." I said snuggling into Robin's side happy and content with him being alive and awake. "Robin. I just realized they won't stop until they have either me or Garfield, or both of us in their grasps." I said shaking slightly at my realization. "I won't let you go without a fight, neither of you." He declared pulling me closer to him. "Same. I can safely say we will not let you guys go. Your our family, and family sticks together." Cyborg said and I smiled hearing him call me his family, it made me all giddy inside.

  "We need to make the Tower more, more, well more. To keep everyone safe." Robin said and everyone nodded going off to complete the mission at hand. Everyone was gone leaving me and Robin alone in the room in silence. It wasn't a awkward silence, it was a comforting silence. That day I fell asleep in his arms, on his infirmary bed, happy. Happy that my boyfriend was safe and okay, and that everything was fine between us.

  Hope you guys like this I really tried making it longer, but with school starting up and me running around like a crazy person trying to get everything together, I just haven't had as much time as I would like to have, to write this story. I hope you guys understand.
