Cleaning the Beasts room

*Nyx's POV*
This is going to make me sick I gagged as I picked up moldy pizza boxes from the top of a pile with a gloved hand. I wore a mask that covered my face and let me breath clean air.

"God your rooms a mess Garfield!" I said snaking him with a dirty shirt. He fell into a pile of food and looked up at me. "What was that for!" He yelled. "This is disgusting!" I yelled back putting the shirt into a clothes hamper with disgust. "Hey this is my room okay! Let me decorate it how I like." He said pouting. "Garfield this is no way to live it's un-sanitary and disgusting as hell what would mom say!?" I asked closing the hamper. "I wouldn't know because she's dead because of you!" He yelled looking at me. I immediately stopped and looked at him wide eyed and teary eyed. My face contorted and tears began to fall. I-its could he bring that....that up... "I'm sorry Nyx! I-i didn't mean that I just!" He said before I ran out of the room crying shoving past Cyborg in the hallway. "What's wrong Nyx?!" He yelled but I kept running. I found myself on the roof. I looked over the edge crying. I need fresh air, I took off my respirator and threw it on the roof. I got up onto the edge and jumped I felt the air going through my hair whipping it around. I shifted into a phoenix and flew off soaring over jump city. The tears stopped but my heart still hurt. He's right it was my fault that mom died....
*Flashback*
"Mommy can we go out for ice cream now!" I asked tugging on her shirt as she wasshed the dishes. "Sure baby girl go get your brother and we will leave!" She said happily. I jumped with joy and ran up the stairs to get Garfield. "Lwts go get ice cream bubba!" I said pulling him by his arm out of his room as he laughed. We ended up at the ice cream parlor down the street form our house. "That will be $3.25 ma'am." The man behind the counter said smiling. Mom dug threw her purse and pulled out the money and smiled. "Thank you."she said grabbing my brother and my hands and walking out the door. "Want a lick mommy?" I asked holding my ice cream up to her. She knelt down and licked some of it. I giggled happily and looked over at my brother. "Now let's go home!" Mommy said before standing up again as she started to walk to the house when a man stopped in front of us. "Give me the kids Marie and no one will get hurt." Said the man. "You will not get my kids Jack." Mom said as my brother pulled me behind him and mom stepped in front of us. "Mommy?"I said with teary eyes as I looked up at her. "Everything will be okay honey." She said smiling. The man pulled out a shiny object and pointed it at mom. She stiffened up and held her hands up. "Don't do this Jack please." She pleaded. "I'm sorry I have to." He said as he clicked something on the object and a man from behind me grabbed mom. She screamed and the man named Jack walked to mom. "Garfield take your sister and run!" She screamed. The man with the shiny object went to grab her. I ran at him and hit him on his pants causing him to clench his fist holding the object and a loud sound went out. Mom screamed and fell on her back. I looked at her and seen red stuff coat her shirt coming from her stomach. " I love you baby's I always will now go don't let these men ever.....get....you...by my sweet sweet baby's....I'll always love you...." we're her final words before she stopped breathing I was shocked but Garfield grabbed my hand and started to run. I looked back crying..... A few weeks later we were captured.
*End of flashback*
When I realized what I was doing I was inches away from being hit by a semi truck. I freaked out and swerved right into a path of a bus causing me to shot up wards trying to regain my controll. I flew up to a tall building and shifted into a human again and sat on the edge looking at the sky line. Tears still falling, I tucked a price of white hair behind my ear and looked at my hands. This is why I started fighting crime when I escaped.I didn't want anyone to lose there parent like I did. I layed down on my back and closed my eyes recalling my childhood memories. Now that I think of it, it's like a fantisy.... I recalled a song my mom use to sing to me and my brother to make us go to sleep. I opened my mouth and began to sing the sweet song.

I smiled and let a tear trail down my face and fall on the ground way below me. I opened my eyes and seen the sky darkening. Maybe I overreacted taped a Garfield and I do need to apologize to Cyborg I was rude to him and ignored him. I sighed and sat up looking at the streets below me to people hurried to buildings with lovers and some into cars that sped away. I stood up and jumped off shifting into a phoenix and soaring to the titans building. I shifted into a human again and landed on the roof a d grabbed my respirator and ran into the comman room where everyone but Robin was running around in a panick and Garfield was on the floor in a fetal position crying. "What's going on?" I asked from the hallway. Every one looked at me wide eyed and Starfier ran over to me and pulled me to my brother. Kneeling down I stoked his hair. "What's wrong?" I asked softly. "I-i thought you left....for.... for good..." He said sobbing into my lap. "I could never leave you ever. I'm sorry for overreacting and running out. Cyborg I'm sorry for shoving past you and ignoring you please forgive me." I said sadly. "It's okay sis it was my fault for making you cry." Garfield said looking at my thighs sadly. "Don't be I blamed myself for the incident. So it was all my fault." I said shaking my head and whipping a tear off his cheek. "If I may ask friend Nyx what was this incident you speak of?" Star asked looking at me confused. "Oh it....it was about my, our  mom.. when I was little we went to go get ice cream and this man showed up with a gun and he pointed it at my mom and tried to grab her.....so I ran at him and hit him somewhere in his lower area..... and when....when he clenched his fists the gun went off and shot our mom....Garfield took me away. A few weeks later we were captured by the same group of men from that day......when I woke up we had been infused with the blood stuff and I never seen Garfield again. I turned out normal but he.....his skin turned green..." I said clenching my fists and looking away trying not to cry again. Garfield sat up and hugged me and I clung to him. "I'm okay Gar."I said smiling. He nodded and let go standing up and he helped me up. "Its getting late let's head to bed."Robin said walking to his room. We all nodded and Garfield walked me to my room. "Good night sis.." He said ruffling my hair. "Hey quit it Gar!" I said giggling and stepping into my room. "Night!" I said and closed my door. I smiled and layed  down on my bed. I looked at the walls they were pure white I shivered and closed my eyes. They reminded me of that place that horrible horrible place. I easily fell asleep. I jolted up screaming and breathing heavily. I had a nightmare of that place again..... I can't sleep in here. I stood up and walked to the comman room and layed down on the couch shifting into a small cat to stay warm. I fell asleep with no problem until the morning. I woke up and streched shifting into a human again and walking into the kitchen. Hmm maybe I can cook something for them to show my appreciation. I smiled and looked in the fridge. I know eggs and bacon! I pulled out the bacon and eggs and turned on the stove. I began to cook when I heard the kitchen door or open. "Morning sis." Garfield said rubbing his eyes tiredly. "Morning Gar."I said putting on a tofu breakfast casarol on for him. "Sure smells good!" Said Cyborg as he walked in the kitchen. Hold on a minute and I'll have your food ready. I pulled out the tofu breakfast and cut it for Garfield and then placed eggs and bacon in front of Cyborg. "Thanks Nyx!" Garfield and Cyborg exclaimed happily as the other titans came into the kitchen sleepily. "What's up with you all, you so tired?" I asked worriedly as I sat there food infromt of them. "Finely clean...." Star muttered almost face planting into her food. "Clean? What's finally clean?" I asked sitting beside Garfield which was beside Robin. "Room.." Raven muttered taking a bite of her egg. "Room?" I asked picking up a price of bacon and biting it. "Beast boys room." Roving whispered taking a sip of water. My eyes widened and I looked at all of them. "You all cleaned Garfields room last night when I went to bed!?" I said. "Yeah I'm tired my friend.." Star muttered taking a big swig of her water. I shoved down my eggs and bacon and put my dishes in the dish washer and ran to my brothers room it was beautiful. It was sparkling clean from the floor to the ceiling even the bed my eyes sparkled. "Wow!" I exclaimed. "It took us all night," Cyborg said smiling."He asked us to do it because he was worried you might hate him more for not cleaning his room." I looked behind Cyborg to see my brother and everyone smiling at me. I jumped into my brothers arms and smiled happily. We then went back to the kitchen so everyone could finish eating. "Oh I've been meaning to ask how come you don't eat tofu too?"Cyborg asked putting his plate into the washer. "Tofus disgusting I mean I loved my mom and my brother but I never like tofu I like meat and stuff I was the odd one of the family."I said smiling and closing the washer. "Oh okay." He said. We walked out of the kitchen and into the comman room.
