"I'm sorry I have to do this everyone. I have to go save him." The letter I left was enough for them to understand I was saying bye. I wasn't going to sit around and wait for him to come and get me. No I was bringing the pain to him.

As I stalked along the building compound I forced myself to hold back, to not reveal myself. "Have you located the children?" The all too familiar and sinister voice of my capture asked one of his men. "Not yet-" Was all the poor soul got out before a dehumanizing sound of bones breaking and the sharp intake of a last breath was heard. Quickly looking around making sure no one seen me, I jumped up onto a crate.

The sound I heard next chilled me to the bone, it was the sound of a child gasping for air. A tiny light in a far cage flickered showing a fragile and broken body of a boy inside it. My heard raced at it, for I remembered being that way, so helpless and lost. "Shut that child up!" The man of the hour ordered and with that the neck of the child was snapped. I bit my tongue or else I would have screamed revealing myself. "Air..." I whispered blowing into the air, creating a surge of air shaking everyone. As they were distracted I made my way to the electricity panel clawing through it shutting off the electricity in the building. Everyone was panicking, me on the other hand I had made my way into the ducts of the ceiling hiding.

"What happened JJ?" A soldier asked the familiar blond headed man that helped save me. My eyes widened as he came into view, toned body and broad shoulders. Much different from what I remembered, but it suited him well. I smirked seeing the bracelet I gave him around his gun. "You haven't changed." I whispered as flashlights were pulled out examining the box. As the lights landed on the box I noticed JJ's eyes widen. "Uh look theirs the trail!" He yelled pointing in a direction as everyone rushed after it. The boss of the compound was off on a secluded island fearing an attack.

Jj scanned the perimeter before smiling and holding his hand to his temples. "Nyx why are you here?" He asked with closed eyes as I jumped to the ground, landing gracefully. "I'm here for you JJ. I need your help-we did I say I? I certainly didn't mean I but yes I...just come with me. Let me get you away from this place..." I pleaded with him as he sighed solemnly looking down at me with piercing green eyes. "I can't...they embedded a tracker into everyone... I can't put you or Garfield in any danger." He whispered grabbing my shoulders looking at me sadly.

"JJ I'm not leaving you again." I whispered as he sighed shaking his head. "The tracker, it's in my arm." He smiled finally giving up. Within minutes I destroyed the tracker and we escaped that vial place. "So how was it back there? On the other side of the bars I mean." I asked as we walked through Jump City making our way to the tower. "We didn't have it much better. He would beat us to the point of almost dying, or he would kill us at points, if we didn't give him answers." He sighed looking down at me with a slight frown.

"Thank you for helping Garfield and I. We probably wouldn't be alive if you hadn't saved us." I smiled up at him as we rode up the elevator into the tower. "Sis- JJ!" Garfield yelled jumping on us, squishing us under him. "Nyx your alright!" Robin rushed over to us pulling me into him from off the ground. "Robin, I know I left. But I went to go get someone. He could help us through our plan against that man." I said smiling up at my beloved. And that's how our night went. Planning and solving.
