Chapter 2

Louis's breath caught. His hands shook. How did she have wings?
He pulled the telly's cord out, silencing her cries. He quickly walked back into the dark hallway. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and let out a ragged breath, as his thoughts slammed his head.
Was that real?
It seemed real.
But a lot of movies now days are realistic.
It could've been some old film he'd never seen right?
His thoughts were stopped by a loud noise behind him.
Louis's heart felt like it was going to burst out of his chest.
He slowly turned and looked behind him, only to be met by the pitch-black hallway.
It's probably just Dave being a twat, Louis thought.
He continued walking and soon he heard footsteps behind him.
Louis broke into a run and the footsteps followed.
He heard a low growl behind him and he was tackled, face first, onto the ground. The thing stepped on him, keeping him down.
"You shouldn't be here." It growled in his ear.
Louis let out a small whimper. He'd never been more terrified in his life.
"I-I'm sorry." He squeaked.
"Oh you will be."
Louis only had a moment to hear it before all his mind could register was pain.
The thing clawed at his back, tearing his shirt.
Louis screamed in agony, crying for help.
He could feel the warm blood on his back.
Could no one hear him?
Suddenly, the pressure on his back was gone and the clawing stopped.
He turned and saw something he would never forget.
There was a curly haired boy pinning the thing to the wall, feathers flying everywhere.
Louis couldn't see the boys face because of the jet-black wings on his back, but Louis could see the thing clearly.
The thing in his grip looked like a cross between a bear and a lion, but it had a wolves tail.
It growled at the boy and the boy slammed it onto the wall and in a blink of an eye and a fluttering sound, they were gone.
Leaving Louis alone, bleeding.
Louis winced as he got up, taking off the remainder of his shirt. He wrapped it around his chest and tied it, cringing at the pressure.
He slowly walked down the way he came, trying to find a reasonable solution to what jusy happened.
He reached the front door, still having no explantion.
He wearily walked outside and gave a small, pained smile at his friends' shocked expressions.
"What the hell happened to you?!" Stan screamed over the gate. Ed quickly ran to the gate and picked the lock. He finally got it open and ran over to Louis.
"We heard you screaming but..." Ed stopped, not sure what to say. Louis gave a nod in understanding.
He knew they were too scared.
"Dave isn't back yet but, believe it or not, he dropped the phone on the way in. We only found it a few minutes ago. Let's get you to my house, yeah? I'm pretty sure mum's home." Ed wrapped Louis should over his head and Stan did the same with his other arm. Ed's mum was a nurse.
They got Louis fixed up and asked what happened. Louis had just said that he fell through the floor. He didn't want to tell them the truth. They wouldn't believe him. He found out he'd only been in there half an hour. It seemed so much longer.
Louis asked Ed's mum not to tell his parents.
Louis got home and tried to ignore the burning itch on his back. He ate dinner with his parents and acted as if nothing had happened, but the minute he was down he raced to his room.
He stripped his shirt off and pulled at the white bandages wrapped around his chest.
He threw them to the floor and clawed at his back.
The itch didn't fade in the slightest, as his nails dug into his skin. It got stronger with every scratch.
Louis rushed to the mirror and looked at his back.
What surprised him was that there were bones.
Poking out from under the skin on his shoulder blades.
Louis shuddered, but he couldn't stop his hands from clawing at it again.
The pain was excruciating, but he couldn't stop.
He could tell it was coming.
Louis let out a loud scream, clutching his shoulders, as they ripped out of his back.
"LOUIS?" His parents burst in and froze, staring wide eyed at their son, shivering on the floor, white wings on his back.
