Chapter 6
-
Harry clenched his fists as he stared the beast down, no fear in his eyes.
But unfortunately for him, the beast had no fear either.
It snarled at Harry and tightened it grip on Louis' frail body, nails digging even deeper into his back. Louis whimpered in pain.
"I said, put him down," Harry repeated himself, as stern as he could.
The beast growled at him, then smirked, an idea forming in it's head.
"Alright then, kid. I'll put him down." It said, smirking agonizingly.
It threw Louis against the wall, the room echoing with a resounding crack and launched itself at Harry.
Then, Harry was in the air, black wings flapping, feathers flying everywhere. He smirked condescendingly at the beast. "Come and get me, Gavin," he taunted.
Gavin snarled at Harry and pounced up towards him, only to hit smack into the wall when Harry flew to the side.
Harry grinned when Gavin groaned in pain, but the grin was wiped off his face when he was violently grabbed from behind.
He forgot about the others.
He squirmed in the monsters grip, but his attempts were in vain. He sighed and glared at Gavin, "Playing dirty cause you know you can't win?"
Gavin smirked and proceeded to beat Harry, punching him and kicking him to the point where Harry could feel his lungs burn from the lack of air.
Louis watched, helplessly, from his corner, clutching his, now dislocated, shoulder. He had to do something. He could hear what Gavin was thinking and it was not good.
Suck it up Lou, he thought as he stood up slowly, wincing at the pain in his left shoulder. His wings felt heavy and sore, despite having done nothing. He looked around for something he could use to help Harry. His eyes fell on the door from the stall he'd been in. It's been ripped off it's hinges and thrown onto the floor. It was wooden and probably wouldn't do much, but it was something.
He lifted it with his good arm and limped towards Gavin. He clutched it with both hands, ignoring the searing pain, and slammed it onto Gavin's head. Gavin stopped his assault on Harry and turned to face Louis, obviously not affected by Louis' attack.
"L-let him go," Louis stammered, holding the door as if it were a threat.
Gavin smiled, deranged and twisted. "Cute, but you just made things worse, Louis," and with that, he grabbed Louis by his neck, cutting off his airway and lifted him off the ground, much like before, Except this time, it hurt even more, considering his shoulder was out of it's socket, his back was bleeding from the claws, and he couldn't breathe. He desperately scratched at Gavin's hand,
"S-stop...l-leave him....," Harry panted out weakly.
"Shut up," Gavin kicked him. "This has nothing to do with you."
Louis' lungs were screaming for air and he began to feel lightheaded.
Gavin turned his attention back to Louis, "You know, I'd have killed you by now if they didn't want you alive. Just my luck, right? I've never wanted to kill someone more than I want to kill you," He tightened his grip on Louis' neck, "And I can't. But you know what? They never said you had to be in one piece." He gave a devilish grin.
