Home Inspected

"What's burning!?" Ryan asked as he walked into the kitchen to see his fiancé try to set the smoke alarm off.

"Lux and Harry's breakfast. I tried cooking for them but I couldn't follow the recipe. Who doesn't know how to follow the recipe for French toast?" Cate asked.

Ryan picked the pots up before throwing the very uneatable food in the trash and helping Cate turn the smoke alarm off.

Cate soon goes to pick up the cereal box and milk.

"Today we have the home inspection for them. Do they give Custody to moms who don't know how to cook?"

"It's going to be alright. You're going to pass. You've done everything right and I'm almost done fixing the basement." Ryan laughs before kissing Cates forehead.

"What about Baze? They gave us both joint custody. If he messes this up it could send our children back to foster care."

"You will be alright! Baze will do just fine Cate stop worrying. Now come on, we're going to be late for work."

"Okay."

Cate walks over to the couch to wake both Harry and Lux up.

"Lux, Harry. Ryan and I are heading out. There is cereal and Milk on the table and my number just in case you need anything." Cate stated.

"Wait." Lux said before Cate got up.

"Yes?"

"How are we getting to school?"

Back at the bar with Baze and a few drunk people, he heard his phone ring before picking it up.

"Hello?"

"Are you drunk?" Cate asked unbelievably.

She looked at Ryan and Ryan shook his head in disbelief.

"No I am not! What's up?"

"I need you to take Lux and Harry to school. Ryan and I are going to be late for work."

Baze looks around the bar.

"Can't you do it?"

"Unbelievable! I just told you we're going to be late Baze."

"Alright, Alright! I'll take them. Just give me twenty minutes to get dressed."

Cate hangs the phone up before she told Harry and Lux that Baze was going to drop them off at school before leaving.

Harry and Lux were sitting outside waiting for Baze to pull up.

Soon they heard a taxi honk the horn before she saw Jamie and Baze get out the car.

"Lux! Harry! Hop in."

Lux and Harry both walk up to the cab making sure they didn't have unwanted eyes on them.

They hopped into the car before the cab driver drove off.

Ryan and Cate were having another debate on their radio talk show before they went on commercial break.

The producer of the show walks up to Cate with a envelope in her hand.

"Hey. Hover much? And since when are you back on morning?"

"Since Alice went of vacation with her husband and I got stuck with you guys for a week." She said before handing her the envelope.

"What is this?" Cate asked.

"Damage control."

"What did I do?"

"You dated your co host, you practically proposed to him on air, and the biggest one of them all, you said you had a child out there. Let's just say your fans didn't like it that much when it shed onto the light."
