Lux was heading to school, riding a bike Baze bought her recently.

She had her ear plugs in Listen to Cate and Ryans show like she does every morning.

"I'm not trying to say anything profound." Cate said through the microphone

"Don't worry no one was accusing you of that." Ryan states.

"I'm just saying that some eye contact in inherently jarring."

"What do you mean in life or just in bed?"

"It just depends. Sometimes in bed when you're having sex, or doing other stuff."

"What are you suddenly shy now?"

"I'm not shy it's just, it's awkward when a guys down there. Do you really want some guys eyes staring you down begging for approval? It's all about the angle."

"If we don't work out you should write a list of what to expect dating Cate Cassidy."

"Yeah, you know, if we don't work out." Cate said awkwardly.

Meanwhile Lux was trying to put in the combination into the locker for her bike.

"Hey! What took you so long?" Harry asked Lux.

"Baze was going on and on about god knows what!" Lux said still trying to figure out why this lock hates her.

"I can see it now. Death by bike lock."

Both Lux and Harry look up to spot Jones.

"Can a lock hate you? Because I think this lock hates me."

"What's the passcode?" Jones asked.

"One, two, three, four."

Jones gave her a weird look.

"It's Baze's." Harry rolled his eyes playfully.

"So you guys still staying at Baze?"

"We're not back at Cates if that's what you're asking?"

"So tonight? You wanna got to the winter formal?"

"I rather eat paste." Lux said.

Jones give her a look and Harry hits his sister.

Lux looks at Harry and sees his eyes are widened.

That's when she realized.

"Where you asking me?"

"No! Maybe? Yeah kind of. As friends."

"You're dateless? The day of?"

"Bren kinda heard about me taking you on a date and she didn't like that of course. Look, it'll be fun. It'll be better than eating paste."

Lux laughs and looks up at Harry who gives her a thumbs up.

"You Alright?" Ryan asked Cate.

"I'm a little tired. You know running the people you love out of your life can be exhausting."

"You talked to Lux and Harry lately?"

"I tried calling them. I think I heard them rolling their eyes through the phone. You know all I want is to make things right with them but the only way to do that is to talk to them. Apparently they're not interested."

"You know, you don't have to take no for an answer with them?"

"Just with you?"

"Yeah. We're on in five." Ryan said putting his headphones back on.
