Chapter- 7

(Marshall Story POV)
Coronation Day.
Bunch of bull if you ask me.
Sure everybody expects me to love being in that hell hole and actually want to rule it.
But news flash.
I don't.
As a vampire, the sun is meant to be my enemy along with all the living creatures that live in it. Honestly though, I love the light! And the people here are so much more interesting. So many colors aside of black and red! I don't want to continue such a useless war that leads us into an apocalypse! No matter how fun that really sounds. Mother doesn't agree though. Not like Gumball did. But that was long-long ago. Doesn't even know I exist as a real person anymore, not after that night.
Two of the guards were transporting me from a fellow Nightosphere kingdom to ours. And yes, there are more then just one. Up to 5 Nightos families in total. There are multiple ways to make a portal to the Nightos but the thing that goes berserk is that you don't exactly appear where you want to be. You don't know where in the kingdom you would land, let alone WHICH you would end up in. That's why we keep separate special portals with secret underground passages just to escape the sun and living organisms. That's where the beasts were leading me towards now. Soon to be MY throne, the one I didn't want.
I could already picture it in my head, sacrifices from each branch down on their knees, crying their eyes out unless their sockets had already turned desert dry. My fiancée attaching herself to me as I tried to walk down the red carpet that aligned the floor with my family clapping happily as I went by. De-thorned red roses sprouting out of the tall chairs sides while it's petals flew silently to the floor. My mother, happily standing beside it, smiling. When I sit down, mother says words, I recite vows, subjects chant things, a drop of blood from each sacrifice and giver for good luck through ruling. Then the crown. Such an ugly thing it is, colored with gold and a sick kind of baby barf green. Not to mention that goofy puff of more red popping out from the center.
Back to the real topic at hand. Me. Guards. Me locked up with chains and binding spell to prevent use of powers. Sucky night to walk through the tunnels.
The walls were all moist from early rain and so if you dared to touch it you would get mud all over yourself. But the tunnels are narrow adding on to the fact that I was being dragged didn't help either. My beautiful clothes are being tattered and dirtied!
My thoughts were broken apart as one of the black spirits gurgled from his throat, "Stop squirming your highness. We are almost there so just hold on." A frown formed on my lips and I whined, "But I don't want to rule! I want to live freely among the living!"
The other one let out an annoyed huff. I didn't care about what they said, but I continued to struggle, just like I did that night.
(Extra Flashback {that Gumball won't hear})
As soon as I finished his sentence, I captured his eyes with mine to distract him from the potion I was about to slip on him. It was an old potion brew that took me around two weeks to fully learn how to make. I had found the recipe inside of a dusty book hidden in one of my father's office-drawers, jammed in-between some worn out files about plans that I never bothered to look at. Mother found about my sneaking around and grounded me for a month, but was too late since I already memorized. It was a potion to erase memories.
