The three boys had finished their dinner and Jae-hyun was now fast asleep. Yoongi and Jimin were sat together on the sofa resting after a long day.
"I wish life was easier." Jimin sighed.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" Yoongi asked, knowing that something was bothering the younger man.
"It's just hard being a single parent with no money and no friends. I feel like I'm not good enough for Jae, he needs a happy family that can give him everything he wants." Jimin was obviously in need of comforting, so Yoongi placed his hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, Jae-hyun is two years old, he's got a roof over his head, he's got toys and access to food and drink and he's got the most loving father in the world. There is nothing wrong with how you're are raising him, so don't put yourself down." Yoongi said sternly, making sure that he would be listened to.
"Thanks Yoongi, I'm just really stressed at the moment with Jae being ill, and I'm really low on money. I need to get a job but I can't do that until Jae is in school, since I have no friends to babysit him."
"I know someone who could look after Jae-hyun." Yoongi suggested.
"Who's that?"
"My boss Namjoon has a husband called Jin and they've got two kids together. Jin is always at home looking after the little ones and he usually babysits for his friends kids. I'm sure he won't mind, he loves kids and he'll do it for free as well. He's rich." Yoongi laughed at the last part.
"Really? Are you sure he won't mind?" Jimin asked, a small look of hope on his face.
"I'm sure Jiminie. He'd love to help you out. I'll talk to him."
"Thank you so much Yoongi." Jimin gave the older man a hug.
"No problem, what type of job would you like to get anyway?"
"Well, at the moment anything that pays well and doesn't require a lot of qualifications." Jimin laughed, looking a little embarrassed.
"Did you go to college before having Jae-hyun?"
"Only for three months, I studied dance." Jimin smiled, Yoongi could instantly tell that dance was Jimin's happy place.
"You dance?"
"Yeah, well not for two years but I think I could still do it."
"My friend Hoseok teaches dance to trainee Kpop groups, we work for the same company. Maybe you could get a job there? Since you didn't get your degree at college they might allow you to do an apprenticeship with them." Yoongi suggested.
"Really? I'd love to do that. I've always wanted to dance as my career."
"I'll put in a good word for you." Yoongi smiled.
"Thank you so much, for everything. You've really helped me and Jae-hyun out over the past two days." Jimin said, hugging the older man again.
"It's not a problem Jimin, I enjoy both of your company." Yoongi said, he hesitated for a moment before asking a question. "So, what happened with Jae-hyun? Like how did you get pregnant?"
Jimin knew that this question would be asked sooner or later, and even though the past was tough, he was more than happy to talk about it.
"Well, in high school I met this boy called Joon-hyun. We dated for about five months and then I ended up getting pregnant. When he found out, he dumped me and told me to abort the baby. But I couldn't do that, obviously. So he told me that he never wanted to see me or the baby ever again. My parents found out when I was 2 months pregnant and kicked me out. They didn't want a pregnant teenager in their house." Jimin sighed.
"I'm sorry Jimin." Yoongi said.
"It's okay, it's all in the past. I sent my mum a photo of Jae when he was born and since then she's sent me money in the post to help pay my rent, but she's still not ready to see me face to face."
"Well, if you ever need any help with anything, I'm here for you." Yoongi said.
"Thanks. What about you? What was your past like?"
"Well, I went to college to study music production when I was younger. I used to live with my ex-boyfriend in Seoul, but when we split up I moved here and joined Namjoon's company. My parents and brother live in Seoul, so I don't see them very often. Usually at Christmas." Yoongi laughed.
"How old are you?" Jimin asked.
"I'm 24 years old. I know, I'm an old man."
"No you're not." Jimin laughed.
"Well, it's getting late so I should probably head home. It was nice to hang out again, send Jae-hyun my luck to get better soon."
"I will do, thank you for buying him toys, he's going to love you forever now."
"Aww, it's my pleasure. Have a nice night Jimin, I'll come round tomorrow to let you know about the babysitting and what Hoseok says about the dancing." Yoongi said, putting his coat on. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight Yoongi."
