Change and Growth - Part 8

"Hello?" Sounded a soft woman's voice through the phone.

"Momma?" Jimin replies, his voice shaking a bit from fear. Yoongi had taken Jae-Hyun out for lunch, so Jimin had some time to himself.

"Jiminnie, Is that you?"

"Yes, it's me." Jimin sighed. "I need to tell you something."

"What is it?" His mum replied, sounding concerned.

"I'm pregnant, again."

"Oh, are you okay with that?" His mum asked.

"Yes, I am. I've met someone new, we've been together for a year and he proposed to me recently. It's his baby and we're having a little family. Did you know Jae-Hyun is 3 now?"

"I bet he's a very handsome boy." His mother replied. "I'm happy for you Jimin, I really am. You did all of this on your own, you should be proud."

"Thanks Momma. Will I ever get to see you again? I want you to meet my family."

"Let's arrange something, but first, let me say sorry for pushing you away and putting you in a bad situation. I've been a terrible mother, I hope I can make it up to you."

"It's okay, if it didn't happen I wouldn't have met Yoongi." Jimin smiled. "Will you come visit next week?" 

"I'll have to check that I can book the time off work, but I'll try my best. I would love to come see you all."

"What about Father?" Jimin asked, anxiety coming back.

"I'll talk to him."

Being only 12 weeks along, Jimin was growing bored of waiting. It seemed like the baby would never come. And it seemed like the morning sickness would last forever. With Jae-Hyun, the pregnancy went by quite quick since Jimin had a lot of other things on his mind at the time. But this pregnancy was different, and it would take a while to get used to.

"Daddy?"

"Yes Jae Jae?" 

"When you had a wittle baby like me, can it be a gwirl pwease?" Jae asked.

"Well, I'd love to say yes but I can't chose what the baby will be. It's a surprise to us all." Jimin replied.

"Why?"

"That's just how all babies are born. When I had you, I didn't know if you were a boy or a girl."

"Oh." Jae was silent for a minute. "If it's a gwirl can you call it Minmin?"

"I'll think about it." Jimin laughed. Min Minmin did sound cute.

"Daddy Yoongi said a bad word." Said Jae-Hyun suddenly.

"What? When?"

"When we was coming home from Playgwoop." Jae stated, almost happy about getting Yoongi in trouble.

"I'll speak to him and make sure he doesn't do it again. Promise me you'll never say a bad word?" 

"I pwomise."

"Good boy. Should we go out for some ice cream?" Jimin asked, starting to get cravings.

"Yeah!"

Later on in the evening, after giving Jae his dinner, bathing him and putting him to bed, Jimin and Yoongi were cuddled up on the sofa together watching some dramas.

"I spoke to my mum today." Jimin said, suddenly. 

"Did you?" Yoongi replied. "What did you say?"

"I told her that I had met you, that we are getting married and that we are having a baby. I also spoke about Jae-Hyun." Jimin sighed.

"And what did she say?"

"She seemed happy for me, she's gonna try to come and visit us." Jimin replied with a little smile appearing on his face.

"That's good then, I hope the two of you can see each other again and sort everything out. It would be nice to have your family at the wedding." Said Yoongi. The two men were feeling very peaceful.

"Jae wants us to call the baby Minmin if it's a girl." Jimin giggled.

"Minmin? I'm not sure if Park Minmin really works." Laughed Yoongi.

"Park?" Jimin questioned.

"Yeah, that's your last name and Jae's last name."

"Don't be silly, we're having this baby together and we're getting married which means my name will be changing. The baby is having Min as their last name." Stated Jimin.

"Are you sure? I mean I'd love that, but I don't want you to think you have to use my name."

"Of course. I never thought of anything different, it's always been Min."

"I love you Jiminnie." Yoongi smiled, leaning in for a kiss.

"I love you too Yoongles."

"I'm still not sure about Minmin though, maybe that could be a nickname instead?" Said Yoongi.

"Yeah, I think I'm gonna have to agree with you on that, sorry Jae Jae." Laughed Jimin. "Mum said she would talk to Father, I'm scared that he still won't accept me." Sighed Jimin, changing the conversation.

"Don't worry about it Jimin, if he doesn't then it's his loss. Everything happens for a reason." Yoongi reassured.

"Yeah." Said Jimin. "I'm so glad I met you." The younger smiled, snuggling up more into his lover.

"Me too Jimin, me too."
