~Eren's POV~

I felt like a different person entering the school grounds. I might of not looked like it, but it felt weird knowing no one knows what I'm be doing to get money. Just the whole concept of this secret was odd and intriguing. And there's no way in hell I'll even tell any of my closest friends. When I say 'closest friends', I mean like two people; Mikasa and Armin.

I have other friends—mutual people I met through Armin and Mikasa—but, I wouldn't really consider them friends. More like people I'll be willing to smile at in the hallways, but definitely won't be like 'Hey man, wanna hang out at my place?' That's a line no one will ever cross. Not even Mikasa or Armin know the condition I live in. When they want to come over my house, I just tell them my mom doesn't like guests over when she isn't home—which then leads me to say she's never home. Long story short; no one comes to my house.

With the entrance packed with students, I managed to slide into the front doors. My high school—Rose High School (RHS)—is a public school, so we have a whole mixture of different personalities. At times, I like it that way because there ins't just one category you have to go by. In RHS's over-the-top diversity, you don't have to worry about fitting into cliques.

Unless you're one of 'The Scouts'. Ever since I entered middle school, I got to meet them. 'The Scouts' are your average popular people, except that they have a cheesy name. I've always hated them. The Scouts consisted of Petra Ral, Miche Zacharius, Gunther Schultz, Oluo Bozado, Eld Jinn, and—the rather stunning, attracting, charming, everything-you-could-ever-wish-for—Levi Ackerman.

It's like Levi is the Regina George of Mean Girls. Everything about him is amazing; his looks, his style, his physique, his family, his money, and even his voice. Except for the fact that he has a dick for a personality.

Being that it was Monday morning, everyone was walking like zombies during an apocalypse. Filled with no will, no energy, and no desire to be alive.

Taking out my phone, I connected to the school's WiFi before texting Armin.

Eren: Hey where are you?

Armin: In the cafe getting breakfast, meet me at first period

Eren: Okay

~~~
Shoving my phone back in my sweatpants, I took my sweet ass time getting to my first period which was on the third floor. Class hadn't started. I usually walk to school because I'm obviously embarrassed of my house. But when I do take the bus if I'm just tired, it gets to school earlier than others. The hallways were slowly getting even more packed as people headed to their classes.
My legs were about to break as I made my way up the stairs. It's not like I had luxury of an elevator so stairs were always hell for me. I'm very slim—like a girl—NOT because I exercise, it's because I barely eat. Everyday it's like the food I decide to eat in the serving size of a mouse.
My staircase adventure soon ended when I reached the third floor. The journey to where Armin was didn't take long though. There he stood leaning against the lockers next to Mikasa. My smile instantly grew once I approached them.
Both turned towards me and had a extremely concerned look on their faces.
"Why are you so pale?" Armin questioned as he stepped closer to examine me, "Did you get possessed by a ghost or something?"
Tripping on my words, I tried came up with a random answer, "Oh um...I haven't been drinking water as much...lately."
The two looked confused as they circled me I was some impostor. Armin shrugged his shoulders before leaving the hallway and entering first period.
