~Eren's POV~
It felt like I hadn't seen his face in a century. It was hard to admit...but I missed him. One thing I especially missed was when the corners of his mouth curled up to form dimples when he'd smile. They were subtle—you definitely wouldn't be able to see them at a far distance—but it still meant everything to me.
Jean had already gotten out the car and was waiting for me to get out of the passenger seat so he could lock the vehicle.
He banged on the window with his knuckle a few times to get my attention.
But that fact that he was knocking on the window didn't wake me up from my trip through memory lane, the fact that he was actually wearing his dumb-ass Where's Waldo get-up was what did it.
It was even embarrassing for me to get out of his car next to him. Let alone imagine how embarrassing it would to be him.
Familiar faces passed by me like horses running wild. They wouldn't stop. People from English and Chemistry. People who I'd repeatedly see in the hallways in school because we shared similar class patterns. And people who I thought were my friends.
"Yo. Earth to Jaeger?" An annoying well known voice called for me. It had a nasally coat to it too. I turned to see Jean attempting to be funny. He now had a pair of fake glasses on.
I hate it when people say shit like Earth to 'whoever' or practice makes perfect.
Like bitch, let me do me my own thing. Go jerk off to your own idioms and leave me out of it. I can take my sweet ass time when learning something.
                              Hop of my dick.
That's what I wish I had said, but in the end, I went, "Yeah man?"
He fixed his hat in the mirror of the wing mirror of his jacked up car. "You wanna talk with some friends?"
"Like who?" I said while leaning against the car door along with crossing my arms. The cold metal on my back was like an ice cube being rubbed all over my spine.
"Mikasa? Armin? Rememberi?" he asked while leaning forward like I had forgotten who these people were.
I knew damn well who they were and what they did. There's no way in hell I'd even try to converse with homophobes like them. And I know I should "give them a second chance." But that's not how I do things really.
And second chance, my ass. Actually. They can kiss my ass because this ass is staying gay forever.
I then pushed off the door having most of my bare skin be exposed to the brisk fall air. Although, hoes never get cold.
"I don't feel like talking to them...cause ya know."
He raised his eyebrows like he forgot the entire reason I stopped going to school for two weeks straight. He had this awkward look on his face like he was trying to say sorry, but no words came out.
"Can we get a drink instead?" I finally broke the ice so wouldn't have to stand around like headless chickens.
He said, "Sure." Then joined into the crowd of drunk toddlers trying their best to sing along with the music that was playing. It was more like they were anxiously screaming—the way they were singing.
It felt like I could do deaf.
Following closely behind Jean, we entered the house I thought I'd never return to. Ever.
Seeing all these unsupervised horny children made me laugh. There's always those people who go full out at parties that drink, make out, and are always DTF. And then you have those other people—like myself—who get to the party and sit on the couch with their phones wishing they stayed home.
