~Eren's POV~

The morning after, I was greeted with a lovely hangover. What a beautiful way to start my day. My mind was kinda a blur. Reality hadn't even clicked in yet.

I was only focusing on how the particles of dust danced around in the rays of light that the windows let in. It was kinda comforting. Waking up surrounded by warmth and all.

Any other day I'd wake up, I'd always be freezing my ass off and that after-rain-smell would always be looming around. No heat, only broken windows and floorboards.

"Where am...?"

Reality.

Swinging my feet over the edge of the bed, I saw he wasn't there. Like I said, the curtains were open. His room looked cleaner than it was last night.

Last night: The Halloween Party.

October 31

My feet stumbled to the ground trying to grasp anything that would help me gain my balance. Waking up to a rug beneath my soles was new, as well as having the smell of coffee roaming through the air.

"Levi...?" I said. It was more of a whisper.

Despite the stress and uncertainty running through my blood, I still barely had any energy. There was a robe hanging from the bathroom in his room. I grabbed it only because I only had a pair of underwear on.

Real classic.

"Levi?" I sounded more panicked now.

Looking at the calendar, it read November 1st.

November 1: The day everything officially goes to hell

The floorboard creaked above me. Besides that, the house sounded empty. All I remember was fighting some other kid and sleeping with Levi. Very broad, I know.

"Levi?" I said a little louder thinking he'd finally respond. Gripping the railing to the stairs, I slowly made my way up the steps.

I didn't see anybody or any trash from the night before. I didn't even know what time it was. I didn't show it, but God knows the shit ton of panic that's going on in my head.

Peeking my head around the corner, I saw someone. That someone wasn't Levi. They had a pair of sweatpants on, a sports bra, and that was it. It was this shirtless somebody who was making coffee unaware of the stranger in their house.

"Hello...?" I muttered while peeking my head out a little further so that they'd see me.

"Hey-o!" The person said without even turning towards me. It's like they already knew I was there. Like their spidey-senses went off and they just knew.

"Who are you?" I asked stepping closer and up the stairs.

Then they turned. She was someone I knew pretty damn well. Well, well enough to know the type of person she is.

"Hanji." I rolled my eyes and walked into the kitchen. "Why are you here? Is Levi here? Where is he? Did he leave?"

"Yo, yo, yo!" She put her hand up like she was about to push me away. "Calm yo ass."

I made an excuse me face towards her. I mean, all I did was ask like two questions. What's the harm in worrying about another human being?

"What do you mean 'Calm your ass'? I asked where he wa—and why the hell are you here?"

She poured a cup of coffee into a silver thermos. It had that Starbucks lady on it. So original.

"He's not here. Get your clothes on now, we're going out."
