"Can I get... erm... a medium dragon fruit refresher?" You nervously ask the lady behind the cash register.
"Is that all?" She asks. You nod and hand her your credit card.
"Calm down, Y/N," You whisper to yourself.
The lady hands you your credit card back and you walk away while putting it in your purse. Once it's ready, you thank the barista and take the purple drink. Your phone buzzes in your back pocket. You reach down to grab it and look at it as you walk out. You hit someone, your drink spilling all over them.
"Oh my god. I am so sorry," You say as you look up at the tall brown haired boy who's once white shirt now had a big purple stain on it. He looks down at you and gives you a small smile.
"It's okay," He reassures.
"It's not. I just ruined your shirt. I'm so clumsy. I'm so sorry," You scramble to grab napkins and start rubbing his shirt, trying to get the stain out. He grabs your hand, stopping them.
"Seriously, it's okay." You look up at him and nod.
"At least let me buy your coffee," You say. He nods and waits in the short line. When you get back up to the lady, he orders and you pay. He added a new dragon fruit refresher onto his order since yours was now destroyed and all over his shirt.
You apologize again out of habit.
"You apologize too much," He laughs.
"I've heard that before. I guess it's apart of being me," You shrug.
"You seem like a... unique person," He laughs. You nod in agreement.
"Unique is a word for it," You giggle.
"What's your name?" He question. You tell him.
"I'm Jonah," He smiles. You smile at the name. Your number is called and you grab the refresher while Jonah grabs the coffee he ordered.
"I'm so sorry, again," You say before turning to leave.
"Wait!" Jonah calls after you. You turn back around, being careful not to knock into anything.
"Why don't we (Hahahahahahahahahahahh I'm lame) sit and continue our conversation?" He asks. You nod and walk over to a table for two.
The day goes on and you and Jonah sit and talk for hours. Within the first hour, both of your drinks have been emptied but you were so deep in conversation you sat and continued to talk. You laughed along to stories he told you and answered all the questions he asked. By the time the two of you decided to go home, it was 4 PM.
"Today was amazing, minus the new purple stain on your shirt," You say, smiling up at the giant next to you. He nods in agreement.
"I'll see you around, Jonah," You smile as he opens the door for you.
"Y/N, before you go," Jonah says, stopping you from walking away for the second time today. You turn to him.
"Can I get your number?" He asks. You smile and nod. He hands you his phone and you put in your number.
"I'll call you later," He smiles as you return his phone to him. You nod and say a final goodbye and walk back to your small and lonely apartment building.
